i have questions please. i received what is a second lawyer collection letter. i dont remember the first. Attempt to collect a debt..... i have no idea what this medical bill is, how do i go about validation and what would lawyer response possibly be? All it says is creditor name and amount owed. how do i know this is for me, and where do they get amount from? thanks carlle

I was just served by a collection agency with a summons and complaint. I looked up the summons at the courthouse:?: to see that it was originally filed October 2010. My state's sol is 36 months, the 36th month was November 2010. I just received the Summons on 2/11/201. Can I still use the sol as a defense? Also the name of the original creditor is wrong, so I will deny the debt all together and will only use the SOL if push comes to shove.

if a payday loan company says that they don't give loans in certain states, but they give you one anyway is that legal?

I sent Alliance Asset Mgmt a debt validation letter and they sent me a copy of the electronic contract with my name on it, of course electronic signature only. What do I do now? Eastside is illegal to lend in the state of California and they have a cease and desist action againts filed in 2009. I have paid Eastside over $400 in rollover fees before I found out they were illegal. I have filed complaints with the BBB and nothing really came out of that. I also filed a complaint with the Dept. of Corp in CA and they haven't responded to me. Thank you,

I'm getting rude calls from two different companies that are threatening to sue me if I don't payoff my past due cash advance loan. 3 out of the 4 loans that I have admitt they are not pushed for anylegal action except for ACE. I have not spoken to any rep from H.P Capital but can you give me any advice!:confused:

Just a word of warning to all of you especially if you have any dealings with Access processing. I had a loan with them and closed my bank account. They are low lifes and im sure are involved with alot of scams. This morning i had an alert from facebook that someone from access processings address had attempted to access my facebook account. Please make sure if you have any of these social networking sites that your information is on maximum security obviously these people dont care how much they break the law.
