Will my credit rating be negatively affected if I consolidate my debts?

I live in Mississippi and had taken out several online payday loans. They were all set up to be renewed each pay period unless I arranged to pay them in full. I wish I could have. I did have several payments deducted from my checking account but since have defaulted due to my husbands loss of income.

How do I get Midland Funding off of my Credit Report?

I was wondering. My husband has a loan debt from the 80's. We have only been married for two years. For 2010 I was a student and my son lived with me. We filed jointly and it was a good size refund because of my schooling and claiming my son. Mu husban barely made five thousand. Now his loan has been turned into collection. Can the collection agency take our refund. Is there something that I can file so they don't take it all. It was his debt long before me and I shouldn't have to lose money deserved to me and my son because of it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

afni offered me a settlement to close my account. after doing so they sent a 1099 showing it as a cancellation of debt. can they do that?

Katie Smith from Certified Asset Investigators called me for the 4th time at work. She has already been told she cannot call me here. I would complain but her company doesn't seem to exist. I called the number back today and actually spoke with a nice woman who listened to me and is actually trying to help me. She said her client is Goldstein Henderson & Weiss and they have hired this company to investigate my employment status and find out where I work so they can serve me papers at work and embarrass me.

How do you get them to stop calling? They are calling my work place non-stop and it goes through the office. It's becoming a real problem.
