Hello, I am submitting a general reply to the constant telephone calls. They are frightening. It is like this. Have you heard of the saying "You can't have your cake and eat it too" ?? Well, at a certain date some business lobbysits influenced the PA legislature that they should be able to fire anyone for any reason; They can fire someone because their eyes are blue. Well, you can't have your cake and eat it too. In this country, for many, a job loss is near death. Famalies get nothing for their taxes.

Just became a new victim of star cash processing 2/14/11- not understanding why this business is still operating. Got an unauthorized deposit of $250 in my acct so i alerted my bank to take action & block them from making any future unauthorized deposits or debits ever again. companies like these make a bad rep for the ones who are actually legally operating & doing what they are supposed to do to build the trust of their client care. Star Cash Credit needs to be shut down immediately- so why hasnt this been done?!?!?!:?:

Ok i need some help...i've had a car loan with them since 2005 an my balance is a little over 2600.00 but over half of that is late fees an interest so they called me an asked for the full payment an i told them i've got my tax return an it's for 1500.00 an will they take this an close the accout well was told no they will only take the payment of 80% of the balance. an said if i can't pay they will come an get the car an sell for 2800.00.

Can a collection agency garnish wages after buying a sallie mae student loan after the loan was in default?

My problem stems from a judgement attained against me back in 2005 by Worldwide Asset Purchasing (a debt collection agency). I am tired of having this on my credit as it's really the only bad mark. I am planning on offering them a settlement amount of $2500, but they say I owe them $8100 (as per my credit reports and after them tacking on late fees and interest). Is there any chance of them settling for this amount since the debt (with them) is five years old? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

hello all. i have been trying to fix my credit lately and i am getting very confused with the process. due to an old boyfriend opening cards in my name i am getting collection notices and "offers" from debt companies. i have no recourse with the ex, as he was killed in a car accident years ago. as i said, i am desperate to clean up my credit- but i am at a loss. i have read several postings about statute of limitations and was curious how this affects my debts. none of the debts have been paid on, in over 5 years, some never.

I have researched and found that certain disability income is judgement proof ( execution of a judgement proof) in Washington State unless the judgement is for student loans, federal debt or child support. My question is,is there a maximum dollar amount that one may receive in disability benefits that can be considered judgement proof? (eg. combination of VA disability,SS disability, and Private insurance disability )?
