if I have only $4757.49 in bad debt that needs to be paid but my credit is too low to apply for consolidation loan what would my best option be?

I received a call from these people. All the call stated was that either I or my attorney had to return their call before today or further action would be taken. Is anyone familiar with M Callahan and Associates? Are they a CA or attorney? Any help is appreciated.

I wanted to say a huge heartfelt Thank You to the community just for being here and sharing your wisdom!! I live in CA and was drowning in debt from PDL's which, as we all know, were initially taken in good faith with every intention of being paid back. Needless to say, it didn't quite go down like that. I had initially taken two loans out, and paid one back in full and was making progress on the second and then, well, ended up with 8 different loans in the end and paying almost $1300 a month.

I thought I was going back to work this month and was told it going to be a few more months.

Once upon a time I was contacted by a arbitration company who did a great job negotiating my debts. I had debt, it was difficult to make my payments, so they said stop making them, we will save your money and take their calls after a few years they will be settled and eventually your credit score will go back up. I was willing to wait. I had a car, a house, I didn't need a line of credit. The last payment for my three accounts was sent in November of 2009.

can you sue if they discuss your bill with a third party. also call after I and th e third party request to stop calling them

OK, one of the illegal PDL companies that I have - DJR Group - had turned me over to collections with NCA. I sent both NCA and DJR notification that I had found out that their loan to me was illegal. DJR has not responded yet, but NCA did respond and let me know that they would put my account in "dispute" status. What does that mean? Are they waiting for a response from DJR? What if DJR never responds? Will the CA investigate my claims on their own, or is the burden of proof that DJR is illegal on me? Anyone please advise......
