I had a loan with Speedy Cash that, after I was laid off, went to a collection agency called Ad Astra. I made payment arrangements with them and have kept them faithfully and they were paid off last week. Surprisingly, I got a call from them today. When I called back, they said they had to call because the last payment had not cleared my account yet. I went online to my bank account and saw the payment cleared about a week ago or so. I told them that but they said the calls would continue until they got confirmation of the payment. What??

Can someone tell me if the following payday loan vendors are legal or illegal: Ace Cash Express Cash Net USA Payday One My Cash Now Check n Go Advance Integrity Cash Central I plan on consolidating on the ones that are legal/licensed, however, for the ones that aren't legal and licensed can someone help me understand all the forums I've read on how to deal with them. There's so much jumping around that I don't really get it. Please help!

If my original PDL has sold my account to a CA or law office, but I have recently determined that the internet PDL was NOT licensed to provide me with a PDL in my state (SC), who should I communicate with? The original PDL or with the CA? I want to inform them that they operated illegally within my state, and therefore I am only obligated to repay my principal balance, not all of these exorbitant interest charges and late fees, etc, etc, etc.....:confused:

We have $24k in cc debt as of now and we're 90 days behind. I'm wondering how much is BofA willing to settle this amount or how low? We have other cc Amex-$6k and Visa-$1k that we intend not to settle. We're current for the two but only paying the monthly minimum. The reason for hardship is unemployment and only my wife is working. TIA!

I IRecently I noticed a collections update on my credit report. After doing some research, this is definitley my debt and would like to pay it off in full. Apparently, the company had been mailing me letters, but after moving to another state and getting a new phone number, I was unaware of this issure. Is there anyway to remove this from my credit report once it is paid? Thanks in advance!

I am spiraling down and have read post from 2007 about blocking and closing account. Does this method still apply today in 2011. I have 3 loans that are killing me. Zip19.com, AmeriLoan, and PayDayMax.com. How can I get out of this mess? thanks, Keith L.
