Hi, This company started writing my husband saying he owed money to them about 4 yrs ago. We didnt start this debt. I checked with the credit card they listed and they had no information available. It has never been on my husband's credit report. I wrote back within 30 days and asked for dv and all they would provide was "we checked and he owes it" on their own letterhead. I wrote again and said you have 30 more days to provide proper validation or the matter is closed. They provided the same letter as before.

i had a car bank in 2008, my dad co-signed for me. i lost my job and couldn't find one for three months, my dad paid the payments till we decide to give them the car back. well they just sent us a summons (with no court date) on the car. the loan was for 14,000 and we got it down to about 9,000 then they sold it, and now want 12,000..... can i file bk 7 one the car????

Can the collection agency run a credit report on me? Even if I have never agreed to them doing so.

Hi Nelly this people contacted me saying that I going to do jail time if don't pay my debt with them. a few months ago I got money from a loan company a little after that my husband lost his job I couldn't pay the loan this loan company and now i'm getting the calls at work I went on line to check them out here I found this page a ripp off report and the phone # is the same 713-777-2500 are they real or not because in the bottom says if you want to contact First IRS Legal department call 713-777-2501 or 2503 or 2500 are they real the guys name who call me is Jeff Wilson

I have loaned with zip and have made payments on time. I recently fell into more financial difficulty and took out the loan for 1250. My husband wrote a check at the same time the amount of the loan was processing from my account, I was able to re-loan the 1250 amount, but my back rejected the debit to pay zip to honor the check. However, zip had already deposited the new loan into my account. The final result is that I owe them for two loans adding up to about 3,000 with fees.

So here's my story. I have an outstanding credit card balance with Citibank (about $12,000.00). I was young, dumb and in college when I opened the card and racked up most of the debt. Everything was going fine with monthy payments until I had a family emergency and was out of work for 4 months and that was about a little more than a year ago. Long story short, my Mother (who lives in Pennsylvania) said there was a note on her door with my name saying to call the local sheriffs department for a legal matter.

Dec. 10th I applied for a payday loan online. A company emailed a one month contract for my signature, stating principle was $300 and interest $180. I texted and followed with a phone call, saying I didn't want the loan,and wouldn't sign their contract. A few days later, one of the other lender sites I'd applied to wrote themselved a $49.95 check on my account, so I closed it and opened a new one. I was busy, it was Christmas! Well, the first week of January I saw "VIP cash withdrawal"' - $180 on my new account.

Anyone have a good number for HSBC. I am not having any luck with the non english speaking folks that call each day, they are rude and agressive and I am almost at the point of not answering their calls any more.

On my credit report I saw that I owed for an account which had a status of "Claim filed with government", but there was no recent balance. The only $ amount was the credit limit. Is that what I owe? Also, the creditor's statement says "Debt being paid through insurance." What does that mean?

Hello everyone!!! This is my first post on this forum and I 'm glad that I found it a couple months ago. It helped me a lot with regard to debt settlement but recently I ran into a problem and I don't know what to do. First let me give you some background information: I have $8,101.06 in debt with AMEX (unsecured) and about $11,000 in debt with Chase (also unsecured). It has been about a year since I payed anything to either of these companies. Since I had no money to give them, I just gave up. However, around November of 2010 I found out about this website and debt settlement.
