How can you differentiate legitimate loans from scams?

How does unsubsidized loan differ from subsidized student loans?

what about payday loans here in texas? I have 3 companies I am dealing with. 1)Brighton FNL 2) Multiloan Source 3) Cashnet usa. They threw a charge at me that gave me a overdraft in my checking acct. and still do not know what it was for yet!!

I called my credit card company today to offer a settlement. They told me they no longer owned the debt as of this month. I want to know if I should call the new owner of the debt today (they gave me the number and name) or wait for them to write and call me? Is there a way to make the old creditor take the debt back so I can settle with them?

To whom it may concern: I would like to dispute this debt, I am very upset that my name and ssn have been used to cause me fraud, stress, and identity theft. I would like to resolve this matter ASAP Thank you

Tonight we finally agreed to a settlement with BOA at 25%. I feel so good. That was our largest debt at about $30K so I am glad to have the settlement done. We were at about 165-170 days. They faxed us the agreement right away and we will be making a lump sum payment this week. That makes 3 out of 4 of our credit cards done. Just Citibank left and hopefully we will get that one done in the next week or so. If you are new here and looking to settle on your own read read read this forum. It really helps.

Dear Fellow Victims, I have a good one for you... A week ago a relative of mine got a call from IAG about me, same as everyone else... Blah Blah Blah, I have been served in a lawsuit... Blah Blah Blah... Well they called my mothers house today; wrong move! Lucky for me I had set up a block on private numbers years ago when I lived with my mother. Private numbers can't call in. I set it up that way. So when my mom told me these people called her, I asked her to look at the caller ID.

i have been communicating with WWR in effort to avoid being sued and settling my cap one debt. They want me to agree to a consent judgement entry. Does anyone have any experience with this. Any information would be helpful. thanks

ok i did the settlements and they gave me the whole speech about the 1099's, is there a deadline for them to send them out by? we like to get our taxes done early to get it out of the way? how long should we wait for them???
