Just wanted to let youll know that i sent out emails to my PDL companies. To date i have only heard back from Pluto marketing who i had offered $120 which was the amount left to pay that would bring me to the $300 that i borrowed from them. They sent me a letter saying that was perfectly acceptable and on reciept of my money order they would send me a paid in full letter. Lets hope that the other are so good to deal with. Shazzer what about this collections agency that people are saying is so awful how do i deal with them if i get a letter.

I just got 2 letters in the mail from a collection agency in regards to a National Collegiate Trust account. The weird thing is that when I look up my student loans through AES (or any of my other lenders), none of my loans are past due, none of my loans are currently due, the amount of the debt stated in the letters does not match the amount of any of my student loans, and the address the letters went to is my gma's address which I have never had listed as my address.

I set up a payment plan with AFNI, however I have lost the information showing what the payment is for medical, bounce check...etc can you help me? i paid a total of 70.00 it looks like from my checking account?

Ok, so MIdland Credit Management has been calling and pestering me about setting up some old debt. I recently looked up my credit score and saw that it's a debt that's actually about to come off my report anyway. I'm reading that once the SOL passes in your state (I'm in IL which is SUPPOSEDLY 5 years although I've seen 10), then you are no longer bound to the debt, and even if these collection agencies call, you don't need to pay 'em even if they threaten with whatever they can. All of this taken into account, I still have the following questions: 1.

I am expecting a summons for non-payment of a an installment loan. I've asked for validation of the loan and not received it. Once validation is made, can I negotiate a settlement with the attorney or are they going to want to go to court for the full amount?:confused:
