I would like to get started on combining all my credit cards and start paying them doen so that i can be debt free How do I start

Hi, I have a mortgage with BOA and have always been timely with my payments, etc. I am not getting anywhere paying my credit cards though, and I was wondering what would happen if I just didn't pay my mortgage for 5 months? The money for the mortgage would really put a huge dent in my credit card debt. Then I could resume my mortgage payments without having extra credit card payments on top of that. Can someone tell me the pros and cons? What would happen with BOA?

After the Plaintiff received my Affirmative Defenses, which they denied, they have entered a Motion for SJ. They attached an affidavit from some random person testifying that I owe this debt, that I'm not military, and that I have been given opportunity to pay. They still do NOT give an account number for this, which was the basis for my Affirmative Defenses. I called the court and was told the MSJ hadn't gone up to the judge just yet.

I am being sued via a summons served to me 12/29/10. It is by Citibank in which I owe 13k. The court is Los Angeles. I really need to know how to file an answer. My google queries only turn up people selling books on how to beat cc debt. Does anyone at all have step by step advice on the answering this summons. My wife is a teacher about to have open heart surgery and I am unemployed. I tried to work out a payment plan before with Citibank but they were unyielding on payment options. HELP!:cry:
