My question to everyone is...For those of you that chooses to do debt settlements or debt management programs, what are your recommendations?!? What companies have you been satisfied with?!? Not satisfied with?!? Good and bad stories?!? I'm in the process of entering a DMP program and needed some advice before going into this.

The toll-free number for northstar is 888-820-0963. I received a call looking for another guy with my same last and first name but they refused to tell me what they did. How can I file a real complaint with this about this company to someone who can do something?

Recently received a letter from attorney asking for full payment of a credit card debt within 30 days. Obviously we don't have it or we wouldn't have fallen behind on minimum monthly payments. Over the past few months we have been sending partial payments on the account. We did not respond to calls so the acct. was passed on to lawyer. My question...should I respond to collection lawyer requesting a payment plan?? (certified letter and money order) thnx

I have 8 store front pay day loans out and have been paying on them. I have loast my job and wondered if anyone knew what to do the companies will not work with me. I have cloased my bank account and they cannot withdraw funds. I have sent out emails and letters with no response. Does anyone have any idea what to do? The companies are: United Cash Loans, Arrow Quick Cash, LLS America, Cash Jar and My Quick Loan. Please help me find out any information that can help. :confused:I got a call from a Collection Agency, and they asked if my name was XXXXX XXXXXX and if my address was XXX XXXXXXXXX XXXX...I said yes to both, as it was my name and my address. They then said I owed $ xxx.xx based on a checking overdraft and they told me the bank. I told them that I never had an account at that bank.

I have several pay day loans. My accout was over drawn by them taking out money. if im unable to pay did you ever hear of a pay day loan trying to take something you own like your home.
