I have a debt with Credit one for $1,098.00 and have tried to work out payments with them but they refuse. Am I going to get sued?

WANTED: I need a debt advisor who I can send referals to.... I'm not sure where to turn here. So I'm really glad I found this forum, maybe there's someone who can help. I went and built a website a while back with some information about debt consolidation. But now I'm getting an ongoing stream of people who are in debt and asking me who they should turn to for debt help? There people from all across Canada mainly. So I'm just wondering if there's any reputable debt advisors in here that might be able to help these people. I hate to have to turn them away or tell them "I don't know".

If you have about $20m credit card debt. Would you file chptr. 13 bk or go thru a debt conolidation ? I already did a chptr. 7 five years ago.:confused:

I had a lein filed against me when I signed an agreed judgement. I have the judgement almost paid off (would have already if they didn't sneak in court costs and interest pre-judgement for 2 years that I didn't know they were doing). Anyway, I am blessed to have a relative sign over some property to me. How will this affect things? Thanks!

My CC loan was charged off and transferred to a collection agency and they are suing me in court for the total due plus all interest to the maturity date of the original loan. 2 questions I have....the collection agency filed a claim in a different county from my residence (on the other side of the state) and not the county were the transaction originally was started. Can they do this? Also, I did not opt out of arbitration so can they file a lawsuit in court because of this? My court date is Monday, 3rd and I will not be able to travel 7 hours to appear. Happy New Year, huh?

I have a question. I run my Credit Report every year around New Years. Just a good reminder and a way to catch things for the new year. I have two old Credit Cards that I was unable to pay on any longer. They went to collections through the Card Compnay. I paid what I could. Eventually I was unable to pay at all. On my credit Report it says "charge off" on both. Says nothing about being turned over to collection or another company. I have been getting calls from Meyer and Njus, an attorney office in Minnesota. I ignored the calls and recently received a settlement letter.

Do you know what companies go through them for their credit cards? I heard Ann Taylor Loft, which I have an account with. But I keep getting calls from this number, but my account is current.

I live in PA. I keep getting calls at my work number from Ameriloan. I do owe them money, and have stated in a letter sent late Nov that I will pay the principle only with payments starting in January. They keep calling my work (usually 3-4 times weekly). I keep informing them, as I have in the letter I sent, that they cannot contact me at my place of employment. I have filed complaints with the BBB (which Ameriloan didn't respond), the FTC (haven't heard a response from them) and my states attorney general. I sent the Atty Gen all the times and names of representatives who call.

We started getting calls from MCM last month on a credit card we had in 2005 that was paid off and canceled. It just had a 300.00 credit limit but now MCM said we owe over $1500.00. I have called the credit card company to see what they can tell me but they said if we owe money they (MCM) have our file. I have sent a certified letter to MCM for our records but they said they do not have any except we owe them money. I have contacted the credit bureu and disputed it on our credit report. What else do I need to do? MCM called last night and the manager made threats of all people pay.

Which one is better for debt consolidation, careone credit or Oak view law group
