I received a letter informing me of changes to the contract on my credit card ending 4790. To my knowledge, I have never had or have a credit card with your company. Please advise. Stacey Campbell

I'm also concerned about the same reasons. They gathered all of my personal information, called to verify this information and then said someone would get back to me within an hour. I never heard back from them. When I called them back, they asked me if I was called for a verification which I said yes and then they said to go back onto the website and put in my user name and password..which I tried to do but when you go on their website, I didn't have the opportunity to do that, I just get some advertisement about TLC and another data form to fill out all over again.

I have a ton of debt and got a letter from Midland Credit Management, who then settled my account for a big discount....are all debt collectors like this or did I just get lucky?

Hi. I received a call from someone claiming to be from the "Federal Govt Fraud Dept" threatening to take legal action against me, including sending affidavits to me and ccing my manager at my job and my county's courthouse. All this if I didn't pay them $512 which they said I owed to a payday loan company. I do have payday loans but not to this company. I asked them for what they were telling me in writing. They said they wouldn't provide anything in writing since I got the payday loans on the internet. Has anyone heard of this?

With the change in government and that companies now know what their taxes are going to be next year I'm hoping that things will pick up after the new year. However, at present I'm $20,000 in debit through a Loan that I did some time back. I wanted to consolidate everything into one loan. Unfortunately, I have been out of work for over a year. I was doing computer support. I have tapped out my 401 and lost the other half when Wachovia went under. At the moment I'm tapped out and B*A card services keeps calling for their money.

I am getting ready to get a summons from Underwood Law Firm in St Louis for a loan with Quick Click Loans. I've asked for a validation of debt and received a one-sheet print-out with my name, account number and balance due. What should I do now?

I am experiencing financial problems to the point where I unable to pay my mortgage on time because of some loss of income and high credit card debt, ~50K. I have started the process for credit counseling from non-profit CCCS where I would be entered into a DMP and I have also contacted my mortgage company to find out if I'm elibible for loan modification. Not sure if this is the right way to go or if I sould seek debt consolidation where they reduce more than just the interest on the credit cards, they reduce the actual amount that you owe. Any help would be appreciated.

I got one too...I'm scared now.
