Sorry if this question has been asked before but I can't find the answer. Could someone let me know if A legal CA can still collect on an illegal payday loan?

I was told that I signed up for a loan and never received it now they have lawyers calling me stating that I have stolen the money. Told me that I owe the money and I needed to get an attorney hired to take care of this. I have my bank accounts it never shows a 400 dollar loan. Also I asked when I received the money they stated that they could not tell me that I have to have a lawyer call them. Why is this happening?????

I have an payday loan with you and i dont see where i can log on to my the status of my account.

This bank calls my cell phone and asks for some guy, in which I have no idea who he is, then proceeds to call me a liar and that I know who he is and they think I am him calling me a liar. I told the guy not to call my phone back in not so many words. The guy calls me a telephone tough guy and hangs up. I am half tempted to drive to Col. Oh. and meet this person face to face and really tell him what I think of him... then kick the hell outta him for calling my phone and insulting me. What do you think?

Researched online, mainly here and found that the companies were illeagal and what not.I took my loan from Star Cash Processing, and PaydayLoanYes. I put a restraint on my account so they never got the first payment.

I received a call from a Daryl at Lakeside Rec. He stated that he has a pending lawsuit against me from a loan with Cash Jar for over $2800. This is the third collection agency that has called me. I have explained to them that I Cash Jar is not licensed in my state (IL) or anywhere in the US and that I have over paid. The loan was for $600 and I paid back $1117.50, last payment was in Feburary. He had my closed checking account info and the personal references listed on the CJ application. Daryl went on and on stating state and federal laws.

Both of these numbers have called my home this week as early as 6:50AM. It's the Indian accent scum suckers calling, so we don't answer the phone.

What I have seen people doing as far as I can see is using this law to freeze out certain bureaus in order to "steer" their creditors to the bureaus with higher scores.
