hi can you help me to get my salary back?

I had taken out some loans few years back. Last year I got some money and paid off some of the loans. In this regard, I should mention that I paid off those loans that were owed to my family. I was trying to pay off the loans owed to credit card companies also. Unfortunately, I got laid off in April 2010 and since then haven't found any other job. In such a situation, it is quite impossible for me to payback my creditors. So, I have filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy to discharge my debts few months back.

I have accepted an debt settlement offer from my 2nd mortgage holder. They said that my account is in charge off status. They are requiring me to pay them 10% of my debt. I am able to do this but I want to know if they can try to collect any more payments from me after I pay them what we settled on. I also want to know how form 1099 works and how much would I end up paying in taxes. Thank you.

I am now being garnished for my defaulted student loan. Actually, last April, Icontacted the loan agency to get out of default, agreed to a quite high payment amount, gave my banking information, and made sure the money was in the bank account each month. I got a notice from the CA that deductions would be made on X or Y date each month. Well, after two months, i noticed that strangely, no payments had been deducted....called the CA repeatedly, but got no reply -- left messages on agents voicemail, etc. Last week garnishment began at 15%.

Whats next after a CA fails to properly validate debt after two RRR letters sent to them to validate. All i received was a single page of the creditors' statement displaying the total debt. As per my understanding they are already in violation of the FDCPA, because this is not a proper validation. I heard that, once they fail to validate you could sue them. Please help.

They said they were West Management, but only after I asked them directly? They had called my mother and said that they were process servers working with the police department looking for me to issue a summons and asked if she was going to be home. She said I did not live there and they asked her for some of my personal info which she would not give. She called me, I called them and told them I saw it on my caller id and wanted to know who they were and what they wanted?

So in May of 2007 I settled an account IN FULL with Mercantile Collections on behalf of LVNV. I have now been contacted by 3 different collection agencies in the past 2 years, trying to collect on the SAME debt. Same account number, original creditor, amount, etc. The most recent was sent by a "Lawyers office" in my state, Daniel Gordon PC. I called Resurgent Capital Services ( The first of these boneheads to try to collect the debt after it was paid) and verified the date of payment, amount, and settled in full status of the account. They are going to send me a statement that I paid.

My situation: I owe Verizon $200 for an outstanding bill (service since discontinued; I am not a current customer). They have reported my debt as a charge-off to the credit reporting agencies, and are using Allied Interstate to collect the debt (who are saying that $150 would settle the debt.). I can pay right away. However, I want to get the charge-off item taken off my report; a "charge-off but paid" is also not acceptable.

I have been receiving phone calls since June 2010 saying that I owe for a bad check at a check cashing place. The first person I talked to demanded that I pay over the at that moment. THe second, well I didn't talk to her. The third person was a very rude man. Everyone is saying I owe for a check written by someone else on an account at a bank that I have never stepped foot in. The people I did talk to asked me to verify my address and SS#. Tonight the man gave me the last four digits of a SS# that wasn't mine. Now they are telling me that I will be served with papers to go to court.

My mother got a call from a company saying they were a process server with the sheriff's office and that they had papers for me. I do not live with my mother and never have..she lives over 90 miles away from me. They gave her a phone number and a case number and told them to have me call them. They tried to extract information from her but she would not tell them anything. When I called the number, I told them that I had this phone number on my caller id...this was at 8:30 at night.
