I was contacted by a "legal division" today at work asking if I was aware of the issue that I owed a loan. I was told that in Oct 2007 I took a loan with United Cash Loans for $300 and it wasn't paid back. I explained that as I was at work I wasn't albe to speak to the matter and I'm to call them back after work today. I think this might be a follow-up from the beginning of the monthy when I got very rudely and harshly treated by a company stating I owed over $1000 and would be arrested and sued for $5000 if I didn't pay immediately.

This collection item (account 3928881, balance $66.00) showed up on my credit report. Please provide me with details ASAP so I can pay it off immediately. I would like to know, 1) the name of the company I owe it to, 2) the date it was incurred, and 3) to what address the notification was sent to. I'd appreciate an immediate respone. Thanks, John K. Hey I'm in a process of closing my account and filing cases agains many payday companies. yesterday I sent them e-mails about it, in it told them I do not authorize them to take any payments from my account. my account is negative which is why I haven't closed it yet, I get direct deposits from work so I was going to wait till friday when I get paid and then close it. Today Big Sky cash took out money, they took out what they loaned me. I never received any reply from them. Is there anything I can do about that? my account is even more negative now and my paycheck won't cover that.

Has anyone who has ever done business with this company after getting a PIF letter started getting phoone calls from someone saying that they were representing a company called SSM Group and that they were being sued for an unpaid pdl? I have gotten this call and when I told him he needed to send me something in writing he said he couldn't/didn't have to and the police would come to pick me up.

I've tried to read just about all the posts regarding this topic and just to make sure I'm going about this correctly I wanted to recap but first let me tell you about my situation. I have an outstanding balance of about 40K with Texas Guranteed Student Loan and my wages are being garnished and they have been for about two years now. I would like to get out of garnishment so from what I've read I would have to contact TG and ask them about rehabing the loan and also for about 10 months I would have to pay over and above the garnishment amount (which is usually 1% of the balance).

Has anyone heard of Freedom Debt Relief? have you worked with them in the past and are they reliable?

Hello, As embarrasing as this is is. I need real advice. I have unsecured debt that amounts to $45K. I own my home and don't wish to sell for a few years. My home was appraised at $96k 7years ago and neighbors have sold there homes in the high 190-200k range within the last 2. I want to (eventually) fix up my home, re-appraise and sell, but I can no longer stay afloat with the 6 monthly credit payments on top of mortgage and utils. On top of that I very recently spent over $1600 on emergency car bills span to 2 months) which dug me back into what took months to crawl out of!!

I followed information I got here and sent a debt verification request letter to Patenaude & Felix regarding my Amex account. In this letter I asked for 3 things as informed to do so on this site. 1. Agreement with your client that authorizes you to collect the alleged debt. 2. Agreement that bears signiture of the alleged debtor where he promises to pay the original creditor. 3. Complete payment history prooving the amount is accurate. All they sent me was a copy of my most current statement. Are they not required to send me the 3 items that I asked for ? What is the next step I should take ?

My step son won a judgement against a company, they have not attempted to pay the judgement so 30 days are about up, and he is going to file a writ of execution against them, what can he expect to happen
