I got a call from an Attorneys office and was told that I was getting sue for a payday loan I had? I couldn't pay it back due to financial hardships. I can pay it off in installments but I don't want to give my banking account information. What do I do?

I was working with a company called Legal Helpers Debt Resolution, LLC. Do you know if they are scammers? I was told to pay them over $2000. They wanted my information for my checking account before so they could set up 3 dates to withdrew monies. They haven't setup anything yet. She even told me to stop my mortgage payments. I am not going through with it, but has anyone had any experience with them? Bad or good.

I have been with a settlement company for 10 months I will be debt free at the end of 18 months (May 2011) I also have a Crap One card my ending balance was 479, and the law firm wants close to 1500! they are crazy, So now they have sent me a summons and now will go to court at the end of this month. Does anyone have any suggestions for me..should I call the law firm and try to negotiate before? Thanks Smith

I just received a letter from RJM about a past bill that I did not have. They have my social security number. That scards me. The man that I talked to had me living where I had never lived. He said he would close out the case. Can they use my ssn for other reasons. Thank you Pam

No response to settlement letters. How should I proceed from here?

I have an outstanding account with Capitol One and have been receiving calls from First Source constantly and so have my relatives. Other companies have been very patient but they are extremely rude. They said "if you can pay other bills than you need to pay us". The other bills are my mortgage and car. They said "I need to insist my relatives help me out". I warned then to "cease and desist". They do not seem to understand what that means. I can guarantee, though, that they will be the LAST people paid becaue of this.
