I have recently posted concerning my payday loans here in Texas. I found out that CK Marketing formerly paydayonline is not licensed here in Texas. Yesterday I sent them an email & letter stating that I have overpaid and they should issue a refund, do not debit anymore, etc. Today they called and left me a voicemail that they have sent a levy to my employer to garnish my wages. Should I be concerned or is this just another scare tactic?

They are acting on behalf of Resurgent Capital Services for a debt of $1618.79 as stated on their letter to me. I agreed to 2 year payment plan in May and allowed them to deduct 67.44 a month from my checking acct. 6 months later I found out 1) they say it was a debt of 1772.26 (I faxed them a copy of their letter and they cannot explain the difference) 2) I have been charged interest fees each month from $3.54 up to $24.00 and each month it varies between those two amounts. Every person I spoke to (including Mr. Ebert Sr. VP) have yet to give me a reason for all this.

About a month ago my wife received a letter from Gamache and Meyer informing her that they were attempting to collect a debt owed to LVNV. She sent a DV letter CMMRR. In the letter she also asked that all communications be done by USPS. Today there is a missed call on our phone from them with no message. The letter was sent 10/16/10 and received 10/19/10 by Gamache and Meyers. In the dunning letter there was no account number associated with the amount allegedly owed to LVNV. She has not received any response in writing yet to the DV.

I have several secured loans and unsecured loans and many credit card bills. If I could pay off all those and only have one payment would be a great help. Is there any help for me?

I got a message yesterday to call Joseph Mann and Creed. After reading about them on here, it appears they have a pretty unscrupulous operation. I also read they collect primarily for internet gambling debts? I have never gambled online in my life. So, it cannot be for that. I have worked very hard to get my credit cleaned up so not sure what else I have out there if anything. There may be a couple of very old debts from 7 or 8 years ago. Do I even call them back? I read on here that when you call them back, they get very nasty. Advice??

Plain and simple, this is personal and even petty but I don't care anymore. I have been hounded and harassed by debt collectors and I've had it. I now know my right and I am fighting back. The thing is, I am bankrupt. I know it and there is nothing I can do. Right now I figure I can file today or I can file tomorrow. It makes no difference. So my question is, I want to punish any debt collector or lawyer that comes after me. I want to cost them as much money as possible and I want them to work extra long hours going after me. If they win, I file bankruptcy.

how do i get rid of secured debt

I received a paid in full letter and returned check from the credit collection agency, but then a month later a letter stating I failed to make a payment. Upon calling the 'paid in full' letter was a mistake. Is there any law that says I no longer have to pay?
