I received a message on my answering machine today from Joseph Mann and Creed. I googled them and found a lot of people saying they are a scam and engage in illegal practices. Is this true? Should I even call them back then? I have received collection calls in the past on illegal payday loans. I really do not want to open this can of worms if the are really a scam. Any advice?

My AMEX account dates back to 2003. However, I applied and received 2 new cards (Platinum& SPG) in the first week of October. Both cards were back dated to 2003. When will they be reported to the credit bureaus? If I report a small balance, will that effect when they report? Also, what impact will adding these cards have on my score? Will the impact be offset by the inquiries? Thanks for any input.

I have recently graduated college and am approaching nearly $70,000 in student loans to be repaid. I have found a car I would like to buy but I know, no bank will allow me to take out a loan as my debt to credit ratio is too high. What are my options? i received a call saying i owed so much on a past payday loan. and that if i didnt attempt to pay it that day they were sending a summons....but i went thru all my records after i got off the phone and i have nothing in regards to the titan group llc....but they claim the loan was taken out in 2008....so i gave him my information but now i think i got scamd....is there any way to verify the loan? or to see if the collection agency is ligit??

I've tried searching this question in the search box but the threads that appeared had conflicting answers. I've taken out a $300 and refinanced it four times for $75. I was going to pay off the entire balance of $375 all at once in the next week, but before I do so, I wanted to check with the community. Anyone know for sure if they are legal? This is my last one! :-) and It feels great to say that.
