i only have 3 pdl out witha total of $800 can i sign up for pdl debt consolidation

I received a call from a portfolio place saying they bought a debt from arrow financial. That I took out an installment loan in 1994 and it was paid on until 1996. I never took out this loan. I was going through a divorce from a man who was in county jail waiting for trial for sexual abuse of my oldest daughter. During these years I had 3 children and was not working. There is no way I took out this installment loan. Somehow this place called portfolio has found my current phone number and says I need to prove that I did not take out this loan.

I was contacted Friday afternoon by a company informing me they had an affadavit for my arrest set for Monday at 11am. There were three charges attached -- the basic claim is that I failed to make good on an online payday advance over two years ago. This is the first I had heard of this, The company informed me that they would come and get me and that I needed to have both my employer and the references I had given to be in court with me to address the charges and would be responsible for $5500.00 at that time.

I have incurred a huge amount of debt. I am trying to pay it off through an alternative repayment plan. Can anyone suggest me some effective frugal budgeting tips so that I can save a considerable amount of money every month and use it toward the payment of my debt.

My wife and I have recent become disabled, lost our home and on assistance. I have worked full time for over 35 years for a lawyer firm (in which I work only part time). We were able to sell our home and have enough to buy a mobile home in NZ outright. I am being pursued by a collection attorneys office (debt LLC) for a unsecured credit card debt, approx 9K. I am trying to negotiate a settlement with payments but their have filed a small claims and I have 3 weeks to respond to the court for they say they will get a judgment.

What is the easy way to get rid of collection companies?

Im curious when you have the hit that point where you just cant pay those.. PDL's anymore and need to reclaim your life. Who are easy to work with?Do some companies have better policies? I have read a few on here that seem very hard to deal with. Im speaking of Storefronts...

I was the victim of I.D. Theft last year and the guy used my info to open up a payday loan with Payday Loan Yes.com Yesterday I get the mail and I get a letter from Revenue Enforcement asking for a settlement payment for $695.00 or else they will start legal action against me. I have no idea who these people are and I can't find any information on Revenue Enforcement. What can I do to proceed against these people? I don't want to call them I don't even know if this is a legit company. I don't want to call them just in case they have caller i.d. and then they start to harass me.

I was the CEO of a small company that has gone out of business in this economy...the credit cards were company cards and used for company business...can I be held responsible for the payment of these credit card debts?
