I have been dealing with PDL's for quite some time. The latest is that I have 13 PDL's. In the beginning, I hired an attorney to help me settle these. The attorney 2 mos later has stated that he is unable to help. I have not paid on these since May of 2010. I am considering bankruptcy. I have met with a bankruptcy attorney but not sure if this is what I want to do.

We are facing foreclosure on our home from a layoff. My husband was forced into early retirement. We are not doing a short sale so please do not comment on that, thank you. We are out of our home and into another one we paid off in full with my husband's early retirement money (the homes are real cheap here now, so we took advantage of that. The money we used to buy our home was not near enough to pay our current home off). We are now 3 months behind on our other house that we moved out of, but we are going to continue to pay the HELOC (2nd mortgage/line of credit) on time.

Hello my question is this, How do I go about requesting arbitration? I recently tried to get ahold of Captiol One to settle a debt I had from an old account, they transfered me to a law firm that said they just filed a suit against me. When I got angry and broke ties with them my card had a balance of $1250 so I called to ask if I payed the $1250 could we settle and could I get a deletion letter that I heard of and the attorney told me No sorry thast illegal and he will stop the lawsuit if I pay $1400.

i have a personal loan out with a local finance company.. i,ve been 4 months behind about $400.00 in debt.. no i'll be honest i havn't been answering their calls.. but just this morning one of their employess showed up at my home asking for their money.. mind you this company is in another city about 30 min away.. she had a map quest printed out and everything.. saying if we didnt pay we were going to get sued.. i live in louisiana.. can some really do that are is that against some kind of law or even harrassiment.. please let me know how serious this is and how i should handle this..

i do have a kohls, pennys, macys, premier and orchard park cards but due to id theft which has been found and resolved out of the ca attorney general office as i was a victum my credit looks a bit crazy. i also have montgomery wards and finger hut, do you think i have a chance for this card even if it the lowest credit amt allowed as i am still trying to increase and improve credit status

I received a call from a company called Bart thompson law office, the man told me I was being sued for a payday loan I did over the internet, said they had been contacting me through email, they called my employer and left a message, I have never had a call at my house nor any bills or letters, said they were representing cash partners of america, he never asked for any money just told me I was being sued. I needed to get a criminal attorney, I know there are a lot of scams, but I am worried sick, any advice
