Is Ace Cash Services legal in Texas?

15 years 3 months ago
Hi there... Is Ace Cash Services legal in Texas? I am finally starting to see the light at the end of my pay day loan nightmare. I set up arrangements with them after I defaulted....but I think I might be over paying them. My orginal loan amount with them was $400. So far I have paid them $50 and I am scheduled to pay them $95 a month for the next 6 months ( I have only give them a pre paid debt card so they don't have my new bank account number) My quesiton is are they legal and how much do I have to pay them back

Please can someone tell me about this

What if you go to court but don't have money to pay?

15 years 3 months ago
Hi everyone! Really informative site. My question is for my dad in Texas. He is elderly and on a fixed income (SS#). He has no assets and no property. He has 3 credit card companies that did him dirty last year and jacked up rates and now he owes about $9k on each. One or all are threatening to take him to court. Given his age and inability to pay he just wants to walk away from it as they rejected all his attempts to create a payment plan when it was all happening. Now they are offering settlements but he doesn't have money for that either.

Student Loan

I did not answer a complaint that was issued. I basically missed the deadline.I was told by the courts that a default judgement would be entered. What can I do to prevent this? Is there anyway I can get this whole thing dismissed? It's a student loan and I never finished the educational program which technically the services weren't rendered. Shouldn't they sue the school for that money?
