My original loan was $300.00, I've paid $992.50 in interest and $50.00 on principal. Because PDL are not legal in AZ, and I've problems with GS accessing my amount for different amounts other than what it should be, and withdrawing payments on another date besides my actual pay date do I have to pay them any more money? I have placed a block on my account but my banker told me that if they try to withdraw using different money accounts it's possible the withdrawal could go through. I have sent GS a letter withdrawing my ACH but if they will pay attention to that I don't know.

Long story short: I racked up a bunch of credit card debt over a long period of time (~10 years), was slowly paying it down, then lost job suddenly and was out of reliable work for 2 years. I've been working for the last year and a half but my debts went to collection long ago. Once I started working again I paid off all the little debts, but remaining are the two big CC ones, a $9,000 that ballooned to $14,000 with interest and penalties, and another for $8,000 that ballooned to about $11,000 with interest and penalties.

Unfortunately i was unable to pay them and now they are calling me. I talked to them but they are only willing to spread out the payments in 3 payments and its like $263 pp. I just simply can't do that. I am trying to work with them but they won't spread it any more. They are willing to stop all finance charge and take a loss but i just can't afford to pay them $263. Does anyone know any other options i can take. They told me that they would send this over to a third party collector and then they would send something to my work about a judgment to get the money.

I have already filed a complaint with the BBB about Eastside Lenders as they are illegal in the state of NH, however they responded that the laws of Delaware prevail and the BBB considered the case resolved. Is it worth it to file another claim with the BBB or will I just be hitting my head against a brick wall with that one? I have a block on my banking account so only debits can go through right now and I can see that Eastside is trying to debit my account daily with different amounts..700, 210, 230.

Well, it's been rough going this year. After getting rid of my payday loans last fall, I started on settling my credit card debt. Entered into agreements with HSBC, Bank of America and CitiBank. Even though the settlements were broken into 3-4 payments, due to financial setbacks, I was unable to honor them. I WAS able to pay off HSBC. Last month I settled with Citibank and will be making the last payment next month. Today I settled with Bank of America through their collection agency. My balance was $13,715 and I settled for 3428 over 4 payments.
