I just received a call from a "court server". she was contacting me to let me know that I would be served by a Sheriff between 3 pm & 5 pm. she left a # for the "attorney's" office in case I would like to setup a different address other than my home or work where they can serve me. She also stated that failure to be available for the court server or Sheriff would result in a bench warrant and added fees. the # she left was 844-795-3420. I called & it is Professional Recovery Services. Spoke to Justin.

Hello, I had a Credit Card debt that went to collections. The last payment was on May 4 2009. The debt was sold to Midland Funding on 11/2013. They have not posted a negative report to the 3 Reporting Agencies. Can I dispute this to have it removed? Thanks in advance.

Hi,i avoided an agency for a payday loan 2 years ago changing my number.recently i applied for and got 2 credit cards and a loan and put new number down on applications.A week after i received loan funded,i had a message left by a different agency,they evidently bought it from the previous.I suspect they got my number somehow from the 3 applications.I changed my prepaid cell number once again.Should i not give new number if i apply again.was recommended if i do apply for credit to get a temporary prepaid sim in case they call and throw it away once what i applied for is approved

Sound familiar,left messages on a 6 year old payday loan.I got the name by a google search of the number.About to call ftc,fbi and attorney general since they left message and called relative threatening criminal charges-this is civil

I have got myself into a payday loan frenzy. Believe me I know how they work...I have had pdls for many years. This is the first year that I have fallen into too many. I have 4 loans out. They are taking a total of $560 out a month...I can not afford this...I do not have that big of an income. I have been late on my rent..put off paying my phone bill etc. you can see what has happened. I recently went into a debt consolidation plan (which has been very good) for my credit card debt.

I had a (illegal) loan from MyCashNow which I ended up paying principal only as it was tribal. It was being "serviced" by Credit Protection Depot and I made the last payment about 4 months ago. The total principal I paid was $1380. Today I received a 1099-C for Cancellation of Debt from Credit Protection Depot. They're basically reporting it to the IRS as a cancelled debt of $1380 and I'm supposed to declare this as income. Any suggestions? The debt was not cancelled...I paid it.

OK, I know I have not bee on here for a bit, but husband lost his job in Jan, and money has been really tight, I have been sick again and we have had some issues with insurance, and no internet for a while. Tried to log back into site and cannot. Even requested to be able to get a new password, etc and put in my email address and am not getting anything showing up in my inbox. Currently I have a loan with check city (legal payday lender)... I defaulted on them once and they were able to arrange a repayment plan for me which a paid off consistently and without exceptions making monthly affordable payments for 8 months. Now, I defaulted again but they want me to pay 20% of the total loan plus accrued interest, and want me to pay in 3 months the rest of the money, the problem is that I can't afford those payments. They are even higher than the installment payments that I had when the loan was current. I need help, what can I do? Marta, Las Vegas.
