I have recently been laid off and now need to cut my expenses. I have decided to just give my vehicle back to the bank. I owe 9500 on it and it is worth at least that or more. I was told the bank would auction off the vehicle and I would be responsible for the remaining amount. I have listed it for sale but this has happened pretty quickly and I don't think it will sell in time. Since I was laid off they can not garnish my wages - until I find a job again. So I am worried about my bank account, I have a couple thousand in savings, can they freeze my balance?

I recieved a bill from rjm that they say is from 1999 for a book club . Should i pay this ? They said i could pay$37.79 instead of the $53.99 they say i owe. Should i pay this now?

I have had the same problem with AMR and bay area credit. AMR turned my bill over to bay area credit while I was paying $100.00 per month on my bill, and never missed a monthly payment. For whatever reason, they just sent it to bay area credit after they cashed my fourth check. Now they have added interest on the bill also -- neither AMR or BACS should be in business - both are crooked and fraudelent.

This company has been calling my husbands phone to contact me for several days. Funny how they speak so fast that we had to listen to the message several times to figure out who they were. I finally called and they wanted my phone number. Leary, I asked her who they were and what agency they represented. She kept cutting me off desperately trying to get my phone number. I just received a bill from Capital One for a debt that was charged off in 2001. After calling today they told me they have the right to reactive this debt and they are adding interest onto the debt that was charged off back in 2001. Is this legal??

I would like to know how they got my friends phone number asking for him when i have been divorced from him for eight years and she never met or knew him. She only knew about his name from conversations with me. when they called her tey said he used her as a reference. I sent my answer and special defences back to the attorney and the court house. I looked on the courts website today and noticed that the attorney for the plaintiff is requesting to revise? What does that mean? I haven't received anything yet. I am so nervous I have never been sued and I am taking every step one at a time. I just like being a head of the game.
