We are 35 days past due on four cc because of loss of income. Do we need to contact them and let them know what's going on or do we just not answer the phone or do we talk to them or what? What are your experiences with settling with any of these creditors? Should I be calling and saying we aren't able to pay? We are 35 days late on these. Loss of income and can't pay, but so scared because I don't want to do this wrong. I haven't read anything about Sears. Should I be contacting them or let them contact me? Thanks

I've been on Chexsystems for a few years now and have a Probity (now defunct) checking account which was handed over to a bank in Missouri. It would be handy to have a local bank right now, so I applied online and got a screen saying they couldn't approve me online because of Chexsystems but that I should print that page and take it into a branch and they could open an account for me. I've heard they will open an account for anyone as long as their report is more than a year old, and I know a lot of people are happy with them as a bank. I also tried Old National and got something similar.

I had the same thing...I contact BBB and they got in contact with these morons. Ok I paid them the money they had no right to put in my bank account. I got a money card and paid them off, I even have a letter of paid in full. Today I got another email saying that I have an outstanding balance. Now how moronic is that. I emailed them back with a copy of the letter. If they continue to harrass I will sue them for everything I can. I suggest everyone who's been victimized by this scam do the same and drive them out of business.

Just received the summons am working on the Answer Contract but not sure what to write or what not to write. I have done tons of internet research and still have a few questions. Live in Ca and the SOL isn't up. We are already in a credit consolidation program with other debt and this was the one card we couldn't afford to add on. The plan was to pay off the current debt which will happen in the next 6 months and then tackle the one debt which is $10,000.
