I finally received a response to my debt verification letter. It included a statement from the credit card holder showing the past due amount. Nothing else. My question is, is that all that is required or are they required to provide me with the exact transactions that were made to incur the debt, e.g., signed receipts, names of the stores where the purchases were allegedly made, etc.? TIA!

Rec'd a voice mail message from this number and the guy had a VERY strong India accent. Would not tell me what his mailing address is so I could submit and Cease and Desist letter. I told him that I wanted his mailing address so I could send a certified letter requesting that he validate the debt. He said he could not give me a mailing address. I told him, I could not give him any information. He was extremely rude. Shouted on the phone and said that they will file paperwork with the local courts. These guys are a SCAM!

Our corporation is considering using this company, and wondered if any businesses use them as a debt consolidator / debt negotiator. I saw lots of negative comments from individuals and wonder if corporations have any better time when talking to AmerAssist than do the individuals.
