What's happening with Unclewarbucks.com? They stopped taking my payment. Up until yesterday, my account went to a .00 balance and it was allowing me to apply for a new loan - when I really have a $1000 loan outstanding. They never took payments in November. Now I am being emailed and called - they say there was not enough money in my account for payment which is not true and this morning my account is showing as "collections". This happen to anyone else and how do we deal with it? I am in Ohio and see that they operate out of Quebec - is that illegal?

I am currently dealing with an Action Payday loan that was sent to collections and need some advice. I have received a total of three loans with Action as outlined below. Loan #1 amount: $500 Paid for Loan #1: $575 Loan #2 amount: $500 Paid for Loan #2: $650 Loan #3 amount: $500 Paid for Loan #3: $0 Based on this, I have received a total of $1500 and paid a total of $1225, resulting in a principal amount due of $275. I sent multiple e-mails and faxes to try to settle for this amount but never received a response. I finally got the collection call today.

I've got several (7) different store front loans in Colorado, that Im struggling with. I keep having to re-buy the ones that I can and open new ones but I've finally hit the bottom and cant dig any deeper. Any help or suggestions on how to deal with these? How does the state law come into play with having multiple lenders and open loans exceeding $500 at one time? I would like to consolidate 3 credits into one loan in order to better manage the debt. AMEX Card, Visa Card and CU Line of Credit all 3 totaling $53,000. Is this possible? I have talked to a few of companies so far since April and they all tell me it will mess up my credit for a short period. I don't mind it if it's not like a bankruptcy. I hadn't heard a peep from Capital One for several years even at the old address until I was forwarded a regular letter sent via USPS from a judge. The letter wasn't sent registered or in any special way. How does the judge even know I received this letter? The letter informed me I'm being sued by Capital One. The statute of limitations in the state where the company was located is 6 years.

Has anyone heard of them? They are hounding me (and rudely doing so) about a pdl that I way overpaid, sent c&d letter and has not heard from since. It was Vista. Now these guys are saying they are collecting on it. I asked for validation and he said he would email it to me. I said mail it please and he then said I was being difficult. Thoughts please???

I live in IN and was contacted by a "Unknown" (caller ID) who asked for me by name, gave a case number, and said that they needed to verify my mailing address, either work or home, in order to send mail. They left an 866-759-4225 number to call back but I haven't called them yet. I read at your sticky entitled "So you've been contacted..." and it references if you were contacted by mail - in which case they already have your address. But it doesn't touch on if this person is calling you with no mail contact. Do I call them and give them my address and follow the same steps?
