Hello a few months ago my husband and i took out a pay day loan for 150.00 every 2 weeks a payment of 45.00 come out of our account i have called them with questions but the people refuse to tell me anything because its in my husbands name he works long hours and does not get in in time to call its frustrating and the people seem to be rude and useless is their any way around this? please help

I just received a very scary phone call from "The Law Offices of Kevin Brown" with a call back number of (315)519-2921. THey said that lawsuit will be downloaded on me tomorrow for a defaulted payday loan. I did have a large amount of payday loans before I found this forumn and took control of my money. I closed my account almost a year ago and sent all of the ach revocations and notices. I received sveral paid in fulls and even a couple of refunds. I have received one of these type of calls several years ago but nothing came out of it.

Finally got Arrow Financial (representing HSBC) to agree to a settlement. Ended up being approximately 43 cents on the dollar - one lump sum of $6,000 - but that is 25% of my debt cleared up. Now the challenge is to start saving again and tackle the next one. Making the lifestyle change(s) has been tough, but if you remain vigilant, you can make it happen. So many people told me to do a bankruptcy, but I honestly felt that the long term impacts of a bankruptcy would cost me more than if I were to just really buckle down and start paying this stuff back.

Here's my situation- I live in CA, a non-recourse state, and have a Bank of America 2nd and two credit cards with them (one for the wife and one for me), terms as follows: 2nd mortgage- purchase money on primary residence- $69K balance, 8.25% rate, 15/30 am/due. My C/C: $23K balance, 12% rate, $0 available Wife's C/C: $16K balance, 13% rate, $5K available What I want to do is roll all three balances into a single $108K, 10-year fully amortized Note at 7%, and (hopefully) open a new C/C account with a $5K limit.

Good Morning, I have received a call from the Illinois Dept of Financial Institutions and they have asked me about paydayloanyes. I guess they were sued by Illinois in 2007 and were to never loan to people in Illinois again. My husband received a loan from them 2 months ago and since then we had to close our checking account. They call him at work and tell him he is going to jail and they swear at him. I sent over the Cease and desist letter and they called him immediatly and said that piece of paper means nothing to them.

i just got a call from a women named rose very foreign really had a hard time understanding her said to have either my self or an attorney return her call at 714-409-0503 she said if i did not return the call she wished me luck. no other info was given i am assuming it is for a pay day loan.is this a joke?
