I just received a phone message from an "Officer" Hobbs saying I need to contact him asap because I'm being served papers. I called the number back and found out it was LVN demanding immediate payment of $2,784.00 on an old account. If I did not pay within 24 hours, in full, they would put a lien on my car, go after my bank account and seize any assets I may have, which are none, because I too am a victim of this recession, have not worked in over a year, have lost everything and am currently collecting unemployment and going to school at night to hopefully get a more stable career.

I live in Kansas. I have 10 internet loans and 4 storefront loans in Missouri. I closed my bank account to stop debits. I am drowning in fees from the storefront loans. What do I do?

I called NCO regarding my debt (student loan) which has been in default for about a year or so. The total debt including penalties and interest is $18,688. The first guy I spoke to when I mention loan consolidation said I couldn't do that because it was federal. I didn't understand what he meant by that. I went on beforehand to research direct loan consolidation and I seem to qualify. I don't know if they want it to seem I have limited option and just deal with them. He transferred me to a higher representative to talk to me about payment options. The payment options weren't real options.

Well,now they are calling my sister. I guess they got her number because I put her down as a reference when I took the loan out. She just called me,gave me the number and name of the person that has been calling her. How can I stop them from calling her? I live in NJ. I know that payday loans are not legal here.

I recently moved states and I just received a letter from RJM at my place of work. I am not even full time, just a temp that moves from location to locations. This is embarassing to say the least. I believe this debt is well beyond the SOL. Is there any way to have mail sent o my my home address and not the different places I work?
