I was looking for anyone out there that's gone through a settlement for their private student loan. I have a private student loan consolidation, by Key Bank, in default. I was contacted by a collection agency, Creditors interchange, and without me really asking offered a settlement of 60%. I sent them a dv letter, and haven't heard from them in a few months, except a letter confirming receipt of the dv letter. Has anyone had experience settling your private student loan debt? With whom? How did negotiations go? What percentage did you settle for? Thanks.

I am just going to put it this way stop calling me and hanging up the phone!!! If you want information from me, your going to have to give some information up first. Don't just ask for my last 4 and when I don't give it to you get mad!!! I'm all about paying my bills and what not but the way ER handles the customers is horrible!

So I received copies of a bunch of statements from them when I requested their bond number for NJ and proof they owned the debt. (back in June 2010). I called them and (I am ashamed to say) got pressured into a settlement I couldn't afford. They faxed me the settlement letter. They had my bank account info (I know, I know - stupid, stupid me - been under a lot of family stress). Well, the next day I faxed them a recision letter of the settlement and also sent by certified mail, RRR.

whats the stature of limitations on collecting debt in texas. have collectors calling about a payday loans taken out in 05-06. please let me know asap so i cant stop paying

I need to close my bank account with a negative balance. They will not close account until it is at a zero balance. I have several payday loans that will try to draft my account on Friday. My negative balance is going to grow and grow b/c of overdraft charges!

I thought that residents of Arizona would want to know that I was able to get Ameriloan to close my account. I had paid $360 on a $400 loan and offered, via email, to pay the remaining $40 by money order if they would give me a legitimate mailing address. I attached a copy of the new Arizona payday laws, advising Ameriloan that their loan is illegal and I would file immediate complaints to Attorney General Terry Goddard and the BBB if they made any attempt to debit my checking account (fortunately, I have two accounts & moved my paycheck to the other account).

I have paid $519.25 in finance charges. I am currently on my ninth loan for $500 and will pay another $77.50 in finance charges. Second Lender - Sandpoint Capital, LLC. Amount - $200 / Finance Charge $60 * This loan automatically renews on each payday for $60.

I have a loan with GR Finanacial dba National Payday Loan. My question is that I cannot find GR Financial (National Payday Loan) on Missouri's list of approved lenders. Can someone help me? I don't think I am overlooking them. They are telling me that they are licensed but when I ask for a copy of their license or their number, they tell me that they are unable to provide that information. Any help will be appreciated.
