I have been reading this forum and it seems like internet PDL's are illegal and I want to get out of this mess. If I am reading correctly all these PDL's are operating here illegally. Can someone verify this.

I live in Washington State. I took out a loan from papercheck payday loan about 3 months ago for $200. I can no longer afford to pay them but I already paid $300 in finance charges. Are they legal in washington state? Can They collect the rest of the loan if I default?

Has anyone settled an account with target visa credit card. I am hoping to settle this as I am 5 months past due before the account is charged off. If you have what percentages did you work with. My balance is 1900 and I am hoping for 30 to 40% of that. Thanks

I need help. I received a $600 payday loan. I agreed to have it all paid off on the 1st of July. they locked me out of my account and then said that since I didn't log into my account prior to the 1st of the money - they were changing the terms and I would now be making payments. I have had to change my checking account due to the amount of fradulent activity that has resulted from getting this loan (apparently my info went to other lenders). How do I get this resolved? I am in Nebraska and they are Deluxe Cash Club.

I wanted to know if anyone has ever heard of an Agency called ASC(Affidaviate Consolidation Services) in New york. They keep harassing me about a bill, but yet they will not tell me who the bill is for. They just say they collect for a lot of people. The phone numbers they call from can not be found, and I have looked all over the internet for their company and can not find them. They are foreigners and you can't understand what they are saying. They will not even give their address. How can I make them stop calling my job?:mad:

For the record, I've gone through hell to try to post this. I'm never had such a hard time leaving a message at any other site. I'm only writing this in case it can help others, not me. It's erased my message four times so far, telling me to reload and other stuff. Grrrrr. I'll try AGAIN: Regent has an "F" rating with BBB. For the past 35 years I've worked for my boss who owns rental properties in Stockton, CA. We don't owe anyone a dime and my boss owns everything---his homes, his rentals and his cars outright.
