Hello, I was just contacted by a collections agency for a debt I owed to PayPal when I was a minor. Basically, I sold an item on eBay, and the purchaser used a stolen credit card to make the PayPal payment.

I want to clean all my debt so I can get agreat credit score so I can get a loan for a house. How can I pay back the people in the collection agencies?

I have a business credit card with $14,000.00 balance. I am a personal guarantee. The business is no longer active and I can no longer even pay the minimum payment each month. Please HELP!

Can the original creditor IE: HSBC list the same account as the collection agency IE:arrow and then the collection agency that bought the account on my credit report?

I received a call from a locator -last week-then was told to call an 888 number. Megan told me she worked w johnson and freedman, She doesn't. She is attempting to collect a payday loan. I called the original lender and they sold the loan to someone else-not who she claims to be calling on behalf.

Hi all, I have an unpublished number as of the end of 2009. I didn't change it because of collectors, rather because the person who previously had my number had numerous unpaid debts and I would get at least 2-3 calls a day (if not more) asking for him. As of three weeks ago, Asset Acceptance recently pulled my credit report, illegally, for a debt that was from either 2005 or 2006. They have called me 5 times as of today, at least twice a week. I have asked every time they have called to validate the debt, and also for my acct number, etc. They will not give me any info.

I have over extended my self with payday loans ( all on line ) I have done some research on different companies that can help you get out of debt in about 12 months. I owe about $7500. I have narrowed it down to two companies the first company is Langhorne and the other company is DDS. I was wondering if any one has had good or bad look with either one of these companies. dont they have to serve you face to face for a warrant of debt for a court date, the same credit card debt was "case dismissed" over a year ago.....now the same summons shows up again?

Yay I'm so relieved! :p I had two accounts, one I owed $23K and the other $1500 and was about 150 days late on both. They called a lot and I pretty much ignored the calls until I got my first offer letter in the mail for the $23K account a couple months ago. Offer was for 75%. They were very nice but pretty much declined my offer off 30% and said I was about 30 days away from charge off and kept pushing for a payment plan. Never heard a peep about the account with the small balance. I got busy, then got cold feet and didn't call.

In July 2009 I received a notice from Blitt & Gaines stating that they were collecting in behalf of Capital One for a debt that I don't believe is mine (I was a victim of fraud in 2005 and that's when this account was opened but I didn't file a police report because it was a family member that committed the fraud I just didn't think that they opened credit cards under my name). I contacted them via email and requested a payment plan through my debt consolidation company. 1 month later they responded stating that i need to make a minimum payment of $407.00.
