I was stupid enough to get a "short term installment loan" with NetCredit. I am in Alabama. Can anybody help me out with whether or not they are licensed in my state? They are not listed on the site I looked at, but according to them and their website, they are. TYIA!

Have since researched and believe payday loans are not legal in NC... The company is in Oklahoma... I filed complaint with FTC & State attoneys office, my bank account they were debiting is also closed...

I received an email, in the spam folder, from a "supposed" attorney office. They stated that they were filing on 11-5-13 to recover 700.00 for a 300.00 loan. I have never received anything from this company, even though they say they have, I'm not even sure that I ever did this. This would have been an online payday loan, if it happened. I don't believe that this company is licensed, in Kansas, to do business. Does anyone know if they are legal and should I just ignore them all together? Thanks

I had to take out payday loans to help with emergency expenses with my girlfriend. Because of a domestic abuse case we had to find a daycare and start paying 300 biweekly for a babysitter and bills kept piling up. We took out PDl to help but our income then decreased shortly after so I was unable to pay. I have about 6000 in PDL and about 6000 in other bills from 2009 and then medical bills that are in collections and being threatened to be taken to court.

I have PDLs with 3 companies--Ameriloan, One Click Cash, and Discount Advances for a total including interest of $2000. I live in Pennsylvania. The payments were being made via ACH transfer from my checking but effective with October's payments none of these companies were permitted to take the payment via ACH. I have not paid them. They have called and left very nice messages that they were willing to work with me but I have not called them back. I call it the ostrich syndrome-bury your head and it will go away. Why are they not permitted to use ACH?
