Hi all!..I am in Illinois..A law firm (Blatt, Hasenmiller etc..) on behalf of Livingston Financial, said they attepmted to serve a Summons but could not due to "No Contact"...Now they just attempted to serve my wife...She said she would not sign for it and he said "Then I will just drop it on the porch"...Is this a valid Service?..I thought in Illinois I had to be the one and that I had to actually Sign for it?? I appreciate any help with this..Thanks!...

I received my credit report and shows a collection with 2 different dates 11/2003 and 11/2004 if i wanted to find out when it originally went to collections can i call the oc without restarting the 7 yrs?

I live in GA and have a loan via qxlonline. I've requested to do paydowns and they refuse and state that I either have to pay a roll over fee of $76 per period on a $200 loan and none of this reduces principal or pay off the whole amount of $276.00. I've contacted my bank (Bank of America)and requested to revoke authorization to ACH my account and they have basically lectured me and told me that since i borrowed it I have to repay it. Can anyone give me any suggestions on what to do here?

I got a credit card from fire stone and they told me i had 90 days to pay. Well i thought it meant i have 90 days to pay not that i had to pay on it each month. Well by the time i found out i was 60 days late so i payed it in full immediately the closed the card. I never received a receipt and didnt think to ask for one. Now 5 yrs later i see it on my credit report with 0 balance. What can i do to take it off my report?

I just finished student loan rehabilitation, just made my final 9th payment. I was wondering what the process is now. NJ higher ed stated that the loan must be purchased now to be cleared of my credit, has to be done first. Anyone have any experience as how long? I am trying to get fha mortgage but this has to be cleared first, and i was wondering how long and if its long whether I can just pay it off in full before it being purchased and be cleared from my credit completely. i just want it cleared from my credit report in the quickest way possible.
