Okay, I'm ready to start learning about collection calls. I'd like to post some on here and then tell me if it is a violation or not. I get a computer call on my home phone and when I answer, it says something like - "This is an important call from Durham & Durham law offices regarding a personal business matter." And then they leave their phone number and hours of business. They don't ask for any specific person, so who is supposed to return the call?

Help, I filed a bankruptcy last year and it was discharged 11/09. I retained my condo, and equity line on the condo and my car payments. I recently checked my credit report, only to see that even though I have made payments and am current on all 3 accounts, my report shows I have made 0 payments, but am never late and shows the balances decreasing. I called my lender on the condo and was told that because I didn't do a reaffirmation agreement as part of the BK, the lender did not have to report my payments.

I was just wondering what stipulations would be best. For one full year I have been pretty delinquent on a citi card and the monarch recovery company contacted me and agreed to let me pay $4410 for $23400 owed so 18.8% What will help my credit report the most? Paid As Agreed, Paid to Delete? My credit score was at 740 (I'm 23 now) but has plummeted to a disgusting 577. Please help me work out a list of demands before I send the first payment because I am going to get it all in writing of course. Thanks a lot, Matt

Has anyone had experience dealing with the cash store. I've tried to set payment plans up and they expect way too much. Today I was contacted by a lawyer who was brief and gave me 2 options to either pay in full or half now and half? I don't know when.......... HELP

Has anyone heard of National Credit Recovery? I am receiving calls from a man name Brian Jones threatening me with a warrant for my arrest. Apparently it has something to do with a payday loan I once had. I called back and left my name and asked to provide me with some info on this so call loan. Can anyone suggest what I should do? Hey, I was wondering if we could have a chat room here on the site again. I remember the good old days and it was so fun to be able to chat live with friends and we also had people that would come to the chat looking for help as well. Why did out-of-state internet payday lenders stop lending to Tennessee residents? I noticed even cashnetusa stopped lending in this state, per their website www dot cashnetusa dot com/fee-schedule.html I called the Tennessee state dept of banking and they said the law is unclear and he doesnt know. Does anyone know the answer?
