My credit isn't high at all and I'm trying to pay off my debt and restore my credit. How did you guys do it? Was there a way you all got a loan to pay everything off or what? Any help would be great. Thanks!

hey how do i find out how much debt i have? it was when i was 18, im 21 now and dont know, is there somewhere i can log on and look to see how much i owe in total?

I just recieved a settlement letter from Collectcorp who is representing bank of america. I want to accept their offer but I am not sure if the letter is worded to include the full debt or can they still come after me for more later. The letter is word exactly like the one show here: http://www.debtfreeleague.com/collect_corp.html As you can see no where does it say FULL amount. Anyone can help with this????

Can someone please tell me if internet loans are legal in Ohio? I've read the law but I can't figure it out. I would assume that since only low cost loans are legal in Ohio, most internet lenders would be illegal. Thanks

Hi, I received a summons from Chase yesterday (6/21) in the mail. The summons was filed on 4/15 which was about 2 months ago. It states that "You have 30 CALENDAR DAYS" after this summons and legal papers are served on you to file a written response at this court and have a copy served on the plaintiff". I'm so confused.....looks like I'm getting sued, but how am I suppose to respond when its way past the 30 days? I JUST GOT IT IN THE MAIL YESTERDAY!! Please advise...... Thanks.

I wrote a check in December 2009 to the Mattress Firm for $2000. An issue with some charges being put through earlier than expected put me back a few hundred dollars. I lost my job and got a new one 2 weeks ago. So i called Certegy and told them I could make a $100 payment on Friday (2 days away), and also wanted to set up $100 payments every week until paid off. That's $400 a month. They told me that unless I could set of payments of $500 a month they would not accept my payment offer, but that I could go online or mail in a money order for however much I wanted to.

Hi, I have a loan with Purpose Cash Advance, which is based out of Georgia (I believe payday loans are illegal there). I had to close my bank account due to fraud so they did not get their money. I think they may have something to do with compromising my account and personal info. I live in Utah and this company is not licensed here. I e-mailed them and told them I thought they compromised my bank account and asked them how they could be doing business legally. Do I have to pay back this loan?
