I filed with the GA of IL and gotten back a letter saying they are sending a letter to nationwide cash but I have not heard anything since then.

I want to begin litigation against a couple of collection agencies that either refuse to respond to my requests for validation, yet continue to report on my CR or they refuse to stop calling my office after my boss has told them it's not permitted. But I can't seem to get any lawyer to respond to me in regards to litigating against these people. So it seems my only option is to bring it to court myself. How would I go about doing that? Is it done in civil court?

Is there any additional consequences in settling a card that was used in the last month vs one that has not been used in years? Will it be harder to settle or same as others?

I think MRC recievables purposely sent court documents to the wrong address in order to get the judgement against me. What can if anything be done about this.

:confused:I owe two mortgages and 6 lines of credit at a bank. The mortgages are 1200 a month and the credit lines are 900 a month at varying rates. The house does not have enough equity in it to qualify for any loan help and the bank will not work with me on merging all of the loans into one with a lower payment. what is terrible is that the house only has 10 years left until its paid off and I lost my job and now work for much less money. I dont want to lose my house but the bank is being very snooty and non caring to my pleas.....Is there any help for me without going bankrutkrupt?

I had received a summons from Howard Lee Schiff from a $500 credit card that has now turned into $1700. Unfortunately, I did not know about this fantastic forum until after I answered the judgement and made payment arrangements. I had some personal issues and was not able to make a payment until this month (received the summons in February and made one payment). I was about to make a payment this month when I received another letter stating I had to go to court to avoid a judgement against me which I will be doing, bringing a payment with me. I called the Schiff office and told them this.

Does anyone have a current ph. # for theses sob's? Checking my credit report I have dicovered that they have listed my honda that I paid off in 2004, but they didn't list until 2006. I have a clear title to the car.Thing is it wasn't on my credit report last year!

I am really stressed out!!!! I had a private student loan with citibank for 9500.00, i defaulted and have paid a total of approximately 8500.00 to a collection agency called LCS financial services . They are now telling me I owe 7000.00 still in interest and fees. I tried to settle with them back in march for 3900.00 but had a financial medical emergency and had to use the money, so i was unable to pay them. I have made $550 total in payments for March April May because of financial hardships due to the medical emergency.
