Is it true that when you get a payday loan from an Indian Tribe they are exempt from the laws in the state that you live in? I live in NYS and have a loan from 500 Fast Cash and this is what they told me via email.

I'm dealing w/the usual garbage from mypaydayloan.com (oops, did I violate copyright laws?). Up to now, I have been successful settling with my other pdls by using the info found in these forums and my own research. I live in PA and have been in contact with the PA Banking Dept and State Attny General; both confirmed that payday lending is illegal in PA. The places settled w/include: Plain Green (asked for refund, nothing); Moliloans, EZpaydaycash, 500fashcash, and paydaymobility (only response was a nasty phone call).

I just received a call from him he said if i dont pay in one hour the police will come and arest me. Is this right I dont have that kind of money!

I just got an e mail from Delbert that they tried to go into my account and payment was rejected from my bank, of course, I closed the account they have on file. I did not sign anything with them electronically as they wanted me to do on their web site. I took loan from Western Sky for $1000.00 have paid them for 11 months $198.07 and they expect me to pay them another year the same amount. This is the only and first communication they have with me regarding the loan. Shall I at this point send them a C&D letter, and if so, are there one this forum that I can follow.

On Aug. 24, 2011 I received a Judgement from the Lamar County Cort for Frederic Hanna and assoc. for a past due credit card bill that I can not pay. On Aug. 26, 2013 I received a notice again from Hanna and Assoc. asking for the money. I have no checking acct. and all I have is a savings acct of $400.00. I have not had any activity on this acct since 2006. Am I coming up on the statue of limitations? Or should I contact them and see if they will settle for the $400.00? They want $3533.38. I have not worked since 2006 and I have no income what so ever. What should I do?

First, a huge thank you to the dedicated posters on this forum. You are a Godsend. I have three "installment" loans, all taken out via the Internet, from my home in Virginia. 1) Great Plains Loans. Total deposited: $600. Total repaid so far including interest: $1294.92. 2) Plain Green Loans. Total deposited: $1800. Total repaid so far including interest: $1556.30. 3) Jet Lending. Total deposited: $800. Total repaid so far including interest: $760. I'm sending the C&D/ACH letters immediately. I know I'm not going to get any of that money refunded from Great Plains.

is this national clearing house good for all states or just new York. Great Plains continues to debit my account. I live in Ohio

I hav a loan with western sky and is now with delbert. I just logged into the delbert site and they want metro sign something electronically . Of course, the bank acct information they have on file is already closed as I have already paid cash call $198.07 per month for one year on a $1000..00 and they expect me to keep paying this amount for another year at 149 percent interest rate. Now no one has contacted me either by phone or e mail from delbert. I had a payment scheduled for sep 3, 2013, however I had already closed my bank acct. what shall I do?.

I revoked their ACH a while back but I am glad to see this anyways... "At this current time the lender is experiencing technical issues. If you would like to pay down or pay off your account, the lender is accepting mailed in payments. If you would like to make payment arrangements please respond to this email and a representative will be in contact via email to due the ongoing phone issues." they even have phone issues!
