Today for some reason, when I tried to reply to my own post in the collection agency forum, my post doesn't appear - but, rather a popup box saying that it won't post or be viewable or something until it is approved by a moderator. Is this something new or has something happened as I have never seen that before? :shock:

Paid $400.00 on Target account and has been 12 days. They still have not credited payment towards account. Still waiting.

Long story short, I have three cc that have been in collections now for about 2 years. At first I had numerous calls daily, then it slacked off to several times a week, then to like the end of the month when they were trying to get their quota in. Now, I haven't had a call probably in at least two months, no mail either, which I didn't ever get much via mail anyway. I know I always wished that they would quit calling all the time, but now since I don't get any calls, it makes me wonder what they are up to.

In the past I had a credit card with Bank of Marin around 2001 it was reported delinquent in 2002 and pasted on into collection in 2004 to Midland Credit Management - First National Collection Bureau. The credit card limit was around $200 but they are now saying that I owe $1274 with all kinds of late fees. When I spoke to them they offered to let me settle for $374 which is still more then the account was originally for, and now they are saying that they need the whole $1274 because they believe there is something I'm trying to do. Is there anything I can do???

I have received a summons before without any prior warning and then answered, went to court and had it dismissed without prejudice by the plaintiff's attorney as they had not brought any proof to court. After reading quite a bit about how these things work, I am torn between what would be the best way to handle junk debt buyers.

could someone tell me if cash net usa is a leagal lender in minnesota...I have had many threatening calls from a company working for them, that says that are going to charge me criminally. I had taken a 500 dollar loan out, and paid 50 and then had a spiral of events that lead me to default. I want to work with them, but they are unwilling to take money orders in the form of payment, and when I say"I can pay 20 dollars" they are unwilling to accept that. what do I do, they are making my life miserable and I feel out of conrol....becasue I can only do what I can do.
