Should I leve my debt settlement program and start negotiating with my creditors?

I was doing a great job at Athens (Alabama) for several years. The pay scale was good. I lost my job a year back. As a result, it became very difficult for me to meet my expenses. I have a federal student loan. The outstanding loan amount is $10,000. I have tried to set up a repayment plan several times. Nothing has worked out yet. Rather, my checking account has been garnished. I don't even have money to pay the rent.

Have been making $25/mo payments to the debt collector for about a year now to keep them off my back. Last time I talked to them there offer was $8k to settle. QUESTION: I have 10k saved up.

I am in Iowa, I borrowed 600 from mobilloans and 250 from clear loans. I have paid back 280 to mobiloans and 135 to clear solutions. I received an email from mobiloans that they are not lending to my state. Is there a way I can pay these back without all the fees? the clear loans has a finance charge of 1125.00

Are these lenders legal in Florida? My silversafe, plain green, mobile loans and fleet marketing. I need help please.

I received a call like this twice, they didn't have my new job info. and I wasn't about to give it to them. I'm glad I read all of these statements. A "Chris Walker" called me supposedly from Baton Rouge LA. but he sounded more Middle Eastern. He called from 225-304-0899. I believe these phone numbers are from throw away cell phones.

Plain Green - $500. Have not yet made a payment. Mobiloans - $1000. Have made one payment of $150 and have another $150 pending payment as of this coming Monday. Great Plains - $500. Have made one $185 payment. I stumbled upon this website last night and was to find that I might not be completely screwed after all.

I have Payday loan with these three companies, when I went the websites they are down or offline, they do have number to call but i was on hold for a long time. My question is~~ do anyone know if they are still drafting bank account for money still owe to them, I don't know what to do at this time

I just received an e-mail from this company call ACS, Inc. threating me that I will be taken to court if I don't pay them $986.45 and also they listed the following: 1) VIOLATION OF FEDERAL BANKING REGULATION (2) COLLATERAL CHECK FRAUD (3) THEFT BY DECEPTION What is goin on and who are these people?. At one point my information from my bank was stolen and now I am getting this type of e-mails.
