Hello, Thanks to everyone for all the information that is provided on this baord. My wife just received a 60% settlement offer on a 38k balance at 43 days. I am of the opinion to just ignore the letter. It seems like they may send these letters to fish for people who are just trying to settle. If i were to ignore the letter it may send them the message that bankruptcy is really an option and settlement is not my priority.

With over 40k in debt going to file bankruptcy. What are the pros and cons?

Suppose the bank where I have current ac issues a card and I stop paying it . what can be the consequence ??

Zwicker and Associates told me I had to pay a certain amount each month regarding my Amex debt which I could not afford. Getting more into debt with other creditors I had to say this is all I can afford this month. The guy would not accept my payment and said he was going to contact an attorney in California and it would go to litigation and I would be sued. I called Amex and they told me to send my amount directly to them.
