Can I get sued if the SOL period will get over in Pelham within a year?

I have received notice from a collection agency in Pelham, Alabama. This is the 4th time I'm getting a notice on a debt of around $16,458. I have been contacted by 3 other collection agencies in the past. I have asked them to validate debt in writing. All I have received till now is name of the original creditor and the date when the account was sold. Nothing else. The debt is likely to fall from the credit report within the next 1 year. What step should I take now? Should I pay off this “alleged” debt? Should I ignore their calls in the next 1 year?

 

What will the collection agency do after the debt is forgiven?

I'm hoping that my credit card will be charged-off and forgiven. What will happen to the collection agency in Winfield after the debt is assigned to them? Will they still contact me if the debt is within the SOL period? Will I have to pay tax on the debt?

I have tried several times to send emails to Next Day Cash and Discount Advances, willing to pay principle. I have not received a response back via email. I have received a call from e Finance in r/t Next Day Cash and they would not give me an email address to send them my payment plan of principle. The guy on the phone just told me it wasn't possible and of course was nasty. As for Discount, I am afraid to call for the same reason but am getting calls constantly that I think they are from them, I don't answer. What should my next step be the cease and desist letter to both?

Will an acct that is being paid in full in a CH 13 case show as a charge off on the co signers credit report? If not, what should it show?

Hello, all! This is the first part of several that I will be putting together in the coming weeks. My goal is to take you through the basic steps as I follow them so that you can be better prepared to take on debt collectors. Note this--I am NOT advocating that you should skip out on paying debts that you legitimately owe. Once you find that a debt collector has a legitimate reason to be calling you, you should do your best to make arrangements and pay what you owe.

 

payday loan/bank says can serve jail time

I just got off the phone with my bank. I have gotten myself into payday loan hell. These are all internet payday loans. I closed my account so they would quit draining it. Now I have gone through a divorce and am in no positon to pay back what I owe right now. The guy I spoke with at the bank told me that payday loan companies were able to get some law passed that protects them. They can sue you and you may have to pay up to 25,000.00 in fines and serve 5 years in jail for breaking the contract. Is this true? It does seem to me these loan sharks should have such protection.

Hello. Yesterday I received a frantic text from my BOYFRIEND'S FATHER regarding a message that was left on his cell phone answering machine. It was left around 11:15 AM and said the following: . "This message is solely intended for Kerriann XxXxxxxx regarding two charges that are looking to proceed against her in court: a breach of contract and defrauding a financial institution. She does wish to dispute these charges prior to the case proceeding in court. Her legal right to contact the attorneys who have named her the defendant in the case.
