Hi all. I am currently working in Europe and my parents in India got a letter from the blore court to pay HSBC 30k or so. I left to europe 2 yaers ago cancelling my CC through phone and settling the outstanding amount (around 1k) through ICICI bank (I can prove that). So what should I do now. Should I settle the amount or just lay back and see what happens.

I make all my payements on time at this moment but am finding it to be more and more of a challenge to do so. I want to consolidate into one payment but I also don't want this to effect my credit or require me to cancel all my cards. I have wedding in August and need some sort of emergancy card just in case. When you consolidate all the cards do you then require the customer to never use the cards?

I was discharged from my Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in Oct 09 and wanted to get a secured credit card earlier this year. In early March I was denied by BofA, which didn't surprise me because I knew they were strict on issuing Secured cards. I also have a bank account with Wells Fargo and applied to them a few weeks ago. I just received another denied letter over the weekend....What the f___?? I called Wells yesterday and they told me that I failed the application as soon as they saw I had a Bankruptcy last year.

I have a loan with cash call and I am filing Chapter 13 because I am umemployed and have no other choice, how is cash call going to deal with my chapter 13 bankruptcy?

Hey Debt Free to Be or anyone knowledgable about income tax, can you answer this please.... I posted it probably on the wrong place before but DFTB I am folloing your post regarding insolvency: So I just was doing this on paper and thought of something that muddies the waters.. If you do each calculation on date of settlement I may be insolvent in the beginning but not with last settlement.. Example: My assets are real estate 306k and my 401k of 40,000 so total assets are 347k. My liabilites are real estate 276k and credit card of 92k so I am insolvent by 21k.

I have hired an attorney to help negotiate debt settlement with CCs. We called Amex about one of my cards today to authorize the attorney to negotiate on my behalf but were automatically referred to Zwicker & Associates. We (my wife and I) have three cards with Amex; two in my name. Only one of these cards was, at least as of today, referred to Zwicker. We received three separate account cancellations from Amex last week. BTW, these three cards represent 40% of our total CC debt. Amex's aggressive and quick action (we weren't even 90 days late) caught us off-guard.

well, i am so ticked off. some idiot with a nasty attitude that called me a criminal. calls and says that i owe u s fast cash 898 dollars. they gonna take me to court for over $4000 dollars. funny thing is i never got a loan from them. when i tried to search the phone number its not in any directory. the area code is from san franciso , ca. but he said he was a federal officier in seattle washington. can i say bogus. and he kept calling me back, when i hung up. calling me a criminal and saying i need to be arrested. what kind of crap is that!

I want to consolidate my credit cards and make one payment. My son try to do this with a company in Florida named Hess Kennedy and they messed him all up and he has to end up going bankrupt. I need a reliable company.

I have had success with FDRS. However, over the last several months, they will not reply to e-mails or faxes. I was served with a Court Summons today and relayed that information to FDRS. Do you know if they are still in business or what the situation is with them now? Thanks
