Can a present homeowner write the difference between the accepted payoff and the original payoff on his taxes and how?

I took out a loan through Integrity Advance over the internet. I have paid them over $2040. what I originally borrowed from them. I sent them the following email over and over again as you can tell from the dates and I did not ever hear anything back from them until today and their response follows my email. I did not file anything with BBB, FTC, or My attorney generals office as I was waiting to hear back from them. Please advise on what to do.

Hi..so I recd a call from a John Smith who said he was with Process Servers United. Stating he was calling on behalf of Solomon and Randolph law firm. Told me I would be served w/a subpeona for 1 acct of wire fraud. Told me to call 1-877-777-9122 for addtl info..which is the # to this law firm. I have left 3 messages and no return call...no matter what time I call there is no answer. I have never recd any kind of written or verbal communication from this firm..so not sure what I should do.

My husband cosigned a student loan for our daughter. At the time he had a good job for 24 years. The company closed and he lopst his job. My dUGHTER GRADUATED WITH A NURSING DEGREE MAKING $50,000.00 and refuses to pay her student loan. They are now telling us we have to pay. Why cant bank take and garnish her wages. My husband works but only makes $20,000.00/year. please let us know what we caqn do. If we also refuse to make payments what will happen to us. We cannot afford this loan. We also need to survive.

I want to thank each of you for helping so far with the four PDL's that I have. I received and email today from Emerald Marketing Group and they agree to write-off the amount of the entire loan. Hi...I took a loan from pay-day loan yes back in 2007..too make a long story short was going thru a nasty separation from my EX and had money problems and ended up having to change bank accts etc and defaulted on it. In April 2009, they contacted me and we sent up arrangements to pay $165 for 6 months for total of $990. I made 2 payments of $165 in May and June 2009 and then wasn't able to make the rest. I called to them to see if we could change payment terms etc and they wouldn't so they kept putting payments thru and got returned as NSF.

With the tougher credit card rules and todays economy aong other things is it better to have your credit card debt spread out over multiple cards to reduce the card usage % or to have fewer cards nearly maxed out?
