When I answered a summons in civil court, I handed them my answers and affirmative defenses and also a motion to strike an affidavit they had attached to the summons. I also had a motion for discovery, but they said they don't take those in magistrate court. They also looked strange at me when I had affirmative defenses and the motion to strike the affidavit. Even though they took them, they said they would not be looked at until we walked into the courtroom. Am I not going to get to use my motion for discovery?

I am in Michigan. I took out a payday loan with ameriloan on 9/23/09 for $350.00 and paid them $105.00 on 10/15/09 and $455.00 on 10/29/09 for a total payment of $560.00 ($210.00) overpayment. I then took out a loan with them on 11/18/09 for $400.00 and paid them back on 12/10/09 $120.00, 12/24/09 $120.00, 1/7/10 $120.00, 1/21/10 $120.00, 2/4/10 $50.00, 2/4/10 $120.00, 2/18/100 $105.00, and 2/18/10 $50.00. for a total payment on that loan of $805.00 overpayment of $405.00. I have sent them emails and they only send me settlement emails back. I have filed with BBB and the OK AG's office.

I took out a loan through PDL Loan Center in the amount of $300.00. I paid back two payments of $90.00 and they have been contacting me. Does anyone have the contact information (email, fax, physical address) for them. They give me nothing but the phone number in their email that is 800-707-0102. I need to send letters out to them as they are not understanding the email. Any other advise on this individual company?

Has anyone heard of a company called HZB Financial Services? They say they aren't a collection agency but I went to their website and they are. They recently tried to call me at work to obtain information about me and I told them not to call me at work. Then the guy tells me that he will call again if i don't call him back. And he will talk to human resources. I live in Maryland and I thought that if you tell an agency not to call you at work that they could not call you, does anyone know for sure?

I am in Utah and have a online PDL with Cash Direct Express. The original amount of the loan is $400 and I have paid $106.00 in fees to them. I also have a online PDL with Cash Net Usa. I originally borrowed $500 from them and have paid $411.50 in extention payments to them. I had to close my checking account due to some unrelated fraudulent activity. I cannot continue to pay my PDL's without taking out more and I want this vicious cycle to stop. Thank you for any help you may offer. I’m 200 days late with Chase, every time I talk to them they say I don’t qualify for a settlement. They say charge off is 7 months, April 30th is the charge off date. Debt is 17,000, I tell them all I get is social security of about 600 a month, I lost my job a year ago and nobody will hire a 72 yr old woman. I live in CA where the job rate is very low. I have 8 total CC that I'm going to try and settle with one at a time. My credit report shows that I’m very late with Chase the other 7 CC are in good standing it also show my ex husband name but I’m now divorced.
