I had 1099c Cancellation of debt in 2009 I was told I do not need to report it due to the Federal policy for 2009 - 2010 Is this true?

I have various accounts that went past 180 days and were charged off. Some of these balances were a couple thousand dollars, others were only a few hundred. My score is about 523. If I call the collection agences that bought my account and settle with them, Will my score improve? The only loan i am currently making on-time payments for is my auto loan. Thank You

I emailed all the company where I get the payday loans and only one replied and threatened me with wage garnishment. I wonder if they can do that, and never replied me with their licensed and keeps telling me that there is nothing in there that intenet payday loan is illegal in IOWA. what is the first step I should do.

has ANYONE had any success with a debt consolidation company and cash call. I have spoken to Langhorn and Debt Solutions.i need to get rid of my 4 payday loans and cash call but i am afraid of them harassing me at work. i have heard horror stories about cash call.

i just read a post and it lead me to wonder how to deal with my loan with elastic.com. who processes the ach's for this company and how do i get them to stop debiting my account since they are not legal

I live in CA and understand that Ameriloan and CashJar are illegal lenders in CA (at least I think that is what I am reading on your sight). How do I contact them? Does anyone have a fax number or address? Also I need to know who their ACH processors are and their contact info so I can handle these payday loans. I am going to close my account monday but if they put another ach through, it will force open my bank account (i already spoke to the bank).

I ahve a PDl whichI took out in late Dec, for 500.00 I ahve paid back 1135.00, have had enough and put a ach stop on this account, received a phone call today from them and told them I paid back well over the principal and will pay no further, also told them they are not to contact me again. Did I handle this correctley and am I not correect in telling them I do not owe them anything els because of the amount I have paid back?

I recently received a letter from an attorney about a billed I've owed since 2005. The debt was $7000. I ignored this debt because it showed a $0 balance on my credit report but also said "purchase/other lender". I never paid this debt. I contacted Green Path Debt Solution who advised me to contact the attorney. The attorney ordered me to a pay-off of the entire debt in 4 years. My question is, should I contact one of these debt solution places that promises to cut my debt and pay-off time?:?
