OK thanks to this site I have been helping friends with their debt problems. Now I have a friend that needs some help and I have no idea what to tell hem. Here is her deal. She lived out in California until 2002 and then moved to Illinois. Wehn she moved to Illinois she had a car loan that she defaulted on and the credit union never bothered to repo her car. The credit union has sold the debt to access collections and they have never followed up on it. They are still reporting on her CR even thou the 7 years is up. Now my main question is this.

My mother-in-law received a message on her answering machine. The woman didn't speak clearly & there was a lot of background noise. Almost sounds like either Colfar or Cole Parr or Goldfar and Associates. She said that they have been trying to contact her for the past month and now that the caller knows this is my MIL's primary phone# she will be calling back. She said that if my MIL doesn't call them back she will be sued in our county court (she did say the correct county).

I’m dealing with CPD right now for two loans. One loan is with PayDayMax and one is with Discount Advances. Both of which I have overpaid HUGE amounts to in the past two years. I find it funny how the amount of the loan when I revoked ACH authorization is different from what they are demanding that I Western Union to them. It’s quite a bit lower.

I am being threatened by Paul Martinez at Capital Collections, LLC. I have paid $250 of the $375 that I was told I owe. I missed last payment but sent an email for them to deduct last payment of $125 on 4/26. I also sent a letter requesting that he cease phone voice messages on my work voicemail calling me a scammer and telling me I am going to be sorry now. He sent an email back telling me not to send anymore letters and that I have no rights.

I have LVNV funding on my credit report but I also have the original company on my report also for the same debt. Is it legal to double the same debt on a credit report to make it look worse than it actually is? They also have different removal dates which the new LVNV has an extended removal date which I think is wrong because it stays on my report longer. How do I get the information on the accounts original date of deliquency?

can you tell me what is consider a deb validation letter from the ca. i got a email from them explanin me the account balcance and the name of the payday loan .. is this consider a deb validation letter ..please let me know

I applied for a Victoria secrets card and was denied. the reason given was excessive open accts and not paid as agreed. I contactn equifax and they ell me my credit report is clean as i don't have any outstanding credit. Why is this?

Yesterday I settled B of A for 40% over 3 payments so that I have time to negotiate with chase before the settlement hits my credit report. This was my biggest one so very happy to have it over with. So 2 down and 2 to go!

I have filed ch 13 in 2009. It was a wrong decision since I am finding it difficult to keep up with the repayment schedule. I'd be glad to know what options I have if I can't make payments anymore.
