I have been recieving phone calls from a Jennifer Hammond an "investigator" for HZB financial?? She claims they sent me a letter at the beginning of March concerning a pdl I took from Titan group. I had to close my account due to checking acct problems and have been unable to find out who to pay the loan back to. I call Titan and left them a message with no reply. Jennifer at HZB is threatening to take legal action against me today if I don't get back to her and settle this debt. Can they in fact do this.

The s*** is starting to hit the fan. A couple of the CC companies called my wife's boss yesterday and the missus is starting to freak out, understandably so. We stopped making our mortgage and CC payments between 2 and 3 months ago. I have been unemployed for 6 months but have started a consulting project, which pays well and might put us in a position to have enough cash to settle with CC companies in 2 to 3 months. Here is the dilemma. According to a BK attorney we qualify for Ch 7 based on the means test if we file in April. The "problem" is that I have finally found some work.

Hi all, I sent my letter I posted a couple of days ago. I have recieved this response from Magnum Cash Advance. It seems to be a collection letter from their collection department. "Dear Amanda *****: This letter is notice that the above loan is now in default. This default has occurred as the result of the closure of your account at TD Bank. Your non-payment is a violation of the Consumer Loan Agreement and Promissory Note which you signed. Your account is being forwarded to a national collection agency.

I just cancelled a debt settlement company, because everytime i think about paying them my money each month, i think about how stupid that really is. Most of these companies charge crazy fees up to a year before you even start with saving for your settlements. So if you paying 500 a month, guess what thats 6000 grand you could have used for a settlement by yourself!! Iam done with these companies and their slick talking points. I take it with a grain of salt.

Just got a call from Credit Protection Depot re: a loan with Discount Advances on 2- 28-09 for $280. Of course I know these idiots are illegal in KY & I've closed my acct etc. But I thought the following might help somebody else who lives in a state where internet PDL's are illegal too. The person said she was representing a company for which I had obtained a PDL. I asked her WHICH company & she told me Discount Advances & the date I got the loan. Mind you I was paying these thieves every month since 02-09.

Hello my name is Duane and I have three payday loans and i am looking into closing my checking account and paying them off over the next 3 to 4 mo. I have had them for over 6 mo. and the fin. charges and other fee's I have paid back principle and then some HELP ME PLEASE DUANE

I am being sued by HSBC and i recently received a Plaintiff's Motion Summary Judgement. Where do I go from here? I want my side to be heard as well. Can I still contact them and try to settle myself? I don't want my wages to be garnished if the court should happen to find in their favor.

Has anyone had any success on settling on an unsecured personal loan. I have one with Chase Bank for $16k & am unable to make the payments:confused:

GC Services is failing to honor an agreement made between them and myself. They are lying about sending a release of garnishment to my employer even though I am a replayment plan with them. So, they are getting a monthly payment from my checking and garnishing my wages every two weeks. What can I do? When I call they give me that run around that they will take care of it and then they don't.

My wife is deceased, am I responsible for her debts? Can I just send a death cert to the creditors? I'm not on any of the credit cards and I'm located in LA.
