I apparently owe money to Credit International, or Computer Check Verification.....what ever name they are going by......I'm not sure how to reach these guys. Does anyone have any contact info for Credit International?

FYI for anybody in Ky. Of course internet PDL's ARE illegal in this state, but they are passing something new due to take effect at the end of April. At that time, ALL storefronts MUST be signed up with Teletrack. That means that they will immediately know if you have a PDL with ANYBODY & if so, they will not let you rewrite (extend your loan). IT MUST BE PAID OFF IN FULL!! All these idiots are about to have a cow because they KNOW just about everybody has more than 1 PDL.

Chase made me a offer to settle @ 45% and 24 hrs to except but when I called back today to except they pulled the offer when I wouldn't give them my SSN over the phone? He told me no offer NO farther communication unless I gave it to them? Anyone ever hear of this?

how did you decide? I have the money to settlement my credit card at 35% but chase want 50%. about to charge off! card just in my name (no recourse state) so what if I give my husband the money (we have separate account) and I file bk myself?

This company called me and I answered and she wanted my SSN. I said who is calling me and for what reason. The woman got snappy and said she can't tell me ANYTHING till I give her my SSN! I had to repeatedly ask who this was but she said she couldn't tell me till I gave her my SSN. I said I wouldn't and she got mad and hung up! I looked up the caller id name and found out it was a collection agency. Then I checked my credit report and it was all fine! So I knew it was a scam! Never give out your SSN number to anyone over the phone unless you know 100% who it is!

Just as I finished my big settment for 2 Chase accounts, I get a letter from a local attorney on my Citi account. No rest in this settlement process. This is before chargeoff, it's around 120 days. Anyone in NJ have experience dealing with attorneys? Thanks Michael

Should I be nervous about this? I am guessing I am around 90 days late. This is a business account. I told them that some of my clients have not been able to pay me (true) and that some are declaring bankruptcy(true). I owe around 18,000 in a small business account. Was hoping to settle. Should i be worried?

Hi, I have a question regarding the protocol for debt collection. Yesterday a sheriff came to my door, looking for someone by a name that I had never heard before. I told the sheriff that no one by that name lived at the residence, and that I had only been renting the house since last October. When I asked what the trouble was about, the sheriff replied that it was a matter of debt collection. The man he was looking for owed some money to a credit card company, and he had come to inform this man to take care of the matter ASAP to avoid legal action. This struck me as somewhat odd.

Hi all, It's been a rough few years. In college, I got sucked in to having my own lines of credit. Of course, I thought that I would have a job upon graduating and things would be OK. That didn't happen. I tried like hell to keep up on everything even with a low-paying part time job. To cut the middle fluff, I was laid off a job for 16 months. I wanted to pay off these debts so bad, but I couldn't really do much on just several hundred dollars a month.

I have asked my CA to validate my debt and I've sent them a DV letter. They didn't reply back till now. What to do next?
