i should also add that when i called back and asked for a debt validation letter, they tols me i would receive all of the paperwork including the dv letter tomorrow when t they file charges. is this true?

I am a total wreck right now. i got a call from someone saying that they are with llc law firm in ny. the address they gave me was 3 court street, auburn ny 13021. this is the 2ns call since friday that i have received from them. someone called john myers told me that advance america cash advance was filing criminal charges against me for a bad electronic check. i told them that not only have i filed and recieved my bk discharge, advance america cashed my check and therefore was paid off.

I recently got a letter from Bridgestone and Assoc in Golden Valley, MN for a debt. I sent them a validation letter and never received a reply. Then the other day i got a summons to court in August for the amount they say I owe. They never replied to my validation letter. Can I do anything? I have confirmation they got the letter, but they never sent a reply. What should I do.. wait until august and show the court my information that they never replied?

I haven't borowed a nickel in almost three years (Dec 2007) , I am in a non profit "Consumer Credit Counseling" payment plan for some of my creditors and others have allowed me to modify our original arrangement so I could pay them back. My problem now is that my home owners insurance bill is coming due and they want over $800 up front and a payment plan that will break my budget. You guys have any tips? Ideas where I might get a $3k loan with a payback of $100 or less...

Hi everyone. I was turned over by HSBC to these guys. I made an attempt to call them back and I'll be contacting them tomorrw to talk. I don't have to give them personal info until they validate the debt correct? It was a car loan and my wife lost her job, HSBC of course took the truck and they want the difference..$14k. No way cn I pay that...But unless they validate/put things in writing / dont accept the monthly that I can make they can just sue me and take all m money right?

Is there a chance that you can work with a law firm after there has been a lawsuit against me? I have had my wages garnisheed, and I may be able to pay off the balance that I owe. I was also wondering is there is a chance to negoiate the balance. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. RR

I have a question for anyone out there that can help me. I'm in the process of trying to repair my credit. I have several things showing up on there that are late but they aren't charged off. At least I don't think they are. My question is if I pay these, will they be removed from my report and when? I have received settlement offers on some of them for half the price of what they say I owe. Is it good to take these or will that just put a negative on my record for that much longer? Added: I just checked all three of my credit reports.
